This document discusses the model of the Lord's Prayer and provides commentary on each phrase. It explains that invoking God's name brings authority and represents who He is. 2. HALLOWED BE THY NAME
Throughout the Bible we see where using a NAME brings
authority. Jesus told us to praise, and sanctify God's NAME.
This along with the fact that we are His children gives us
authority to pray what we are praying.
Exodus 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come
unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God
of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to
me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And
God said unto Moses, I Am that I Am: and he said, Thus shalt
thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto
you.

3. WE SANCTIFY YOUR NAME
Exodus 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou
say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the
God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent
me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto
all generations.
We sanctify HIS NAME because it represents all that HE IS. Think
about that. Whatever I needis in HIM, (IN HIS NAME)!
Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and
given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in
earth, and [things] under the earth; And [that] every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

4. WE LIFT YOUR NAME
Psalms 20:7 Some [trust] in
chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name
of the LORD our God.

LORD, bless his name; shew
forth his salvation from day to

5. WE MAGNIFY YOUR NAME
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD [is] a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Psalms 113:1-3 Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants
of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the
name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same
the LORD'S name [is] to be praised.

change for the better!

Jehovah-M'Kaddesh - God who Sanctifies
Jehovah-Shalom - God is our Peace
Jehovah-Shammah - God is There
Jehovah-Rophe - God who Heals
Jehovah-Jireh - God who Supplies
Jehovah-Nissi - God is my Banner
Jehovah-Rohi - God is my Shepherd

7. THY KINGDOM COME
The first thing that Jesus said that we should ASK FOR in
prayer is the manifestation of the Kingdom of God. It's not
ABOUT YOU at this point.
There are many ways the Kingdom of God will come. We
know that Christ will establish an everlasting kingdom on
earth. However there are many things you can pray for
even before that happens.
This is a good time in your prayer to use the power of
'binding an loosing' and to intercede for others. Praying for
Kingdom Manifestation is a study in it's own right.

8. - Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you,
Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall
be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye
shall loose on earth shall be loosed in
heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you
shall agree on earth as touching any thing
that they shall ask, it shall be done for
them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered
together in my name, there am I in the
midst of them.

9. PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION
Intercession - (ent'-yook-sis) - an interview, supplication:, a falling in
with, meeting with, to visit, a petition
To intercede in prayer is to ask God to help understand the NEED, or
the situation of the person you are praying for. - To 'Get In There' for
someone else. That's what Jesus did for us.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we
know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself
maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings,
and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable
life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the
sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to
come unto the knowledge of the truth.

11. PRAY FOR SOULS!
Matthew 9:38 Pray ye
therefore the Lord of the
harvest, that he will send forth
labourers into his harvest.
Pray for the authority over
powers of darkness that reigns
over people or over a region.

12. THY WILL BE DONE
Prayer must be offered to CHANGE the atmosheres that we
live in on every level.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the
will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father
which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and
mother.
This prayer is related to the prayers about the Kingdom. It
can be expanded to include all levels. In the 'air'. All
'systems' on earth. In our hearts.
