The Captain of our salvation is interceding for His people. He is not a petitioner moving the Father's compassion, but a conqueror, who claims the trophies of His victory.
Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25.
The great Captain of our salvation has conquered in our behalf, that through Him we might conquer, if we would, in our own behalf. But Christ saves none against their choice. He compels none to obedience. Jesus made the infinite sacrifice that His followers might overcome in His name and His righteousness be imputed unto them.

What is the meaning of "Everlasting Salvation"?
Salvation means to save from sin and from all of its woeful results, of which the "second death" is the ultimate. It is, therefore, a message of life, instead of death, a message of fullness of joy, instead of unutterable woe. This is in brief the "Great Salvation." The whole scheme is beyond our comprehension, yet we can joyfully and thankfully avail ourselves of all of its benefits.
What is the nature of the salvation which is assured to the Israel of God?
Isaiah 45:17

This lesson is a general lesson on one of the teaching processes used by Jesus -- Parables.
This general lesson will seek to provide an overview of the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:3-23) as well as an introduction to parables.
An introduction to a study of Jesus' Parables. Literary tools such as metaphors, similes and allegory are defined and distinguished from a parable itself. Jesus purpose for using parables is also discussed along with a 5 step approach to analyzing a parable.
Predestination is one of the most widely taught doctrines in Calvinism. The biblical understanding of this passage reveals a much deeper underlying principle and a richer store of information than can be imagined.
God want's to do great things for us. A scripture based study into predestination reveals that God wants to glorify us. Allow the scriptures to open the pathway that God desires to bring us on.
A correct understanding of the power of God's Word in Creation leads to appreciating His Word's power in Redemption.
He simply spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:9.
The breath of God's mouth is a breath of life.
Moreover, His Spirit has the same creative power as His Word.
Therefore, His Word, which is life: The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life, John 6:63, is God-breathed - All scripture is given by inspiration of God. 2 Timothy 3:16.
Moreover, the same Word that created is the power which now preserves.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
