God answers prayers according to His will and plans, not necessarily our desires. Like an loving father, God knows what is truly good for us and may choose not to give us something even if we ask. We should have faith that God will provide what we need to reach His kingdom, and seek His kingdom above all else. When we read the Gospels and follow Jesus' teachings, we can better understand why some prayers are answered and others are not.

1. PrayerWhy are some prayers not answered…

2. MATTHEW 11 : 28 -30 "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light

"Come unto me, all ye that laborOur lives are full of different problems that occur which are a part and parcel of living.Problems ranging from Financial issues, marital issues, employment issues, economic issuesAs Christians we are God’s childrenBy accepting Jesus as our savior we become the children of God…the King of Kings!By Going to Jesus we have access to a power that has no limitation. The mighty power of God that can be manifested so that you can overcome ANY ADVERSITY.But first we need to understand how we can manifest God’s power and free ourselves of all our burdens…because he has told us to COME TO HIM WITH ALL OUR PROBLEMS.

4. THE POWER OF GODAs Christians we believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God who came to us to save mankind from the clutches of Satan and eternal damnationAnd he did just that…He died for our Sins giving us the possibility of a fresh start in our Journey seeking Gods KingdomJesus also rose again defeating death and the power of darkness giving us HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE.Importantly Jesus brought us the Gospel of Gods Kingdom…the pathway to GODS KINGDOM.Through His Life and teachings we are thought and shown what we need to do in order to manifest Gods blessings…while embarking on our journey seeking Gods Kingdom

5. GOD’S BLESSINGSWe are surrounded with the goodness of God’s blessings. We take these for granted. Starting from the very fact of your waking up this morning to a wonderful day packed with million other blessings that surround you through out the day…we all take these for granted. We let our problems overshadow all these.Have you considered being thankful for what you are…as compared to billions of others who do not have 1% of what you have…Firstly being Thankful for what you have is very important …rather than trying to pick holes at what the Lord has already given you.

6. HUMAN CAPACITYWe come across problems and issues that overwhelm us. Some completely beyond OUR control… in our human capacity!Its like a small child trying to form a complex Jigsaw puzzle. Try as he may he will not be able to put the pieces together and complete the puzzle. That is if the child tries to do it by him self.

8. But if the child seeks the help of his father he would complete the puzzle in no time.To overcome the problem we have to seek the help of the father who is present and able to solve the problemWe have to seek His solution…Not the way we want…but as he wants…in His time. We have to have ABSOLUTE FAITH …that because of Gods Wisdom the solution would be the best …and manifested for you because of His Love for you…

9. SOLVING THE PROBLEMMost importantly the child had to have FAITH that his father could solve the jigsaw. It is due to that FAITH he would seek the fathers assistance.As Christians we have Jesus whom we can go to for ANY problem in whatever magnitude.If we go to Jesus in faith through our prayers and seek his assistance it will be done…Because we are His children and He will provide for our needs!

10. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Jesus tell us in Mark 11

11. SOME MAY ASK…If God loves us and wishes us abundance why then are some prayers not answered…We all have such questions…I had such questions…The answer is found Gods word in the GOSPELS.

GOOD GIFTSWe find two identical references in the Gospels where Jesus tells about Gods good gifts for usMatthew 7:11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!AND ALSO IN Luke 11:13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!“

13. Jesus is giving us an assurance that GOD OUR FATHER WOULD GIVE US GOOD GIFTS…

14. GOOD GIFTSJesus is explaining to us that although we are all sinners yet we know to give good gifts to our children. If so then how much more will our Holy father in heaven KNOW TO GIVE GOOD GIFTS to those who asks HimThe Key is GOOD GIFTS. In His infinite wisdom GOD knows what is good for us. Not necessarily what we think is good for us

15. 9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? Jesus further explains…

16. AN EXAMPLE FROM OUR LIFEA KINFE TO YOUR CHILD?Would you give A KNIFE TO YOUR CHILD just because he asks you…? Even if your kid bawls and cries… and yet we would not give the knife. The Kid is asking for the knife because in his mental capacity he does not comprehend the damage the knife could cause him…But due to our mental capacity we know that if the knife is given, the kid is sure to injure him self…BECAUSE OF OUR LOVE & AFFECTION WE PROTECT THE CHILD BY NOT GIVING THE KNIFE.

17. The question is… does the Child understand that by NOT RECEIVING he was actually being protected?It is because of OUR LOVE that we will not give the Child what he asks for.

18. Most of our prayers are comparable to the Child asking for a knife...We ask for many things which we think is good for us…in our current mental capacity.But our God in His awesome capacity knows if all of what we are praying for is provided, in return it could have a negative impact on Gods plan for us…deflecting us away from our path seeking His KingdomBECAUSE OF HIS INFINITE LOVE HE WANTS US ALL TO REACH HIS KINGDOM

19. Because of His love for humanity He even sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON JESUS CHRIST for the sake of our SALVATION…If the request that we make through our prayer causes us to deflect from the path to Gods Kingdom…how ever much we ask it will not be given. … how much more will your Father in heaven give GOOD GIFTS to those who ask him!How many of us can except this in Faith…?

20. JESUS SAID…Matthew 7: 7 7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.Matthew 21:22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.“Mark 11:24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

21. PRAYERSWe all know some prayers of ours have been answered but not some…may be even most of our prayers!So we are disappointed, angry at God for not answering our prayers Have you ever considered as why these prayers have not been answered?The answer is in the Gospel.

22. 24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.Matthew 7

23. THE WORDJesus is telling us of the need for us to put His words in to practice to build our his life on a solid foundation…But the issue is that over 90% of Christians have not read even the Four GospelsSO HOW CAN WE BUILD OUR HOUSE UPON THE ROCK…?We need to read understand and consciously abide by His teachings found in the four Gospels…

24. Then we get a FIRST HAND understanding of Jesus' teachings.IT IS THE LIVING WORD… you then will come to know how He wants us to live…And start to live accordingly and learning to manifest Gods blessings…And experience Gods almighty power…You will come to know the reason as to why some of your prayers were answered and also the reason MOST OTHER REQUESTS were not answered.

25. Eventually you will not even ask for 90% of what you once thought that you desperately needed.

26. Because The Lord will provide you what you need…All what you need to do is read and abide by Jesus' teachings and steadfastly stay on the path to Gods Kingdom and your Salvation.

27. MATHEW 6…31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS THAT YOU NEED THEM. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

28. In God’s grace YOU WILL!If we can obediently follow His teachings, consciously seek Gods Kingdom and have Faith in His almighty Power to intercede and provide for your needs as promised….

29.
