Depression in Mothers of Children with Cerebral Palsy and Its Relation with C...ijtsrd
Introduction Cerebral palsy is a condition caused by an abnormality in the brain causing difficulties in movement and coordination, with an onset in the developmental period of childhood. Cerebral palsy can include cerebral malformation arising in the gestational period, a destructive process in the antenatal, prenatal or early postnatal periods, or by various processes acting together. Objective To evaluate the depression level in mothers of children with cerebral palsy and its relation with the current functional status of the children and establish To determine the correlation of functional ability of children with cerebral palsy and depression levels in their mother.Hypothesis There is inversely proportional relationship of depression of mother of children with cerebral palsy with current functional status of their children. There is directly proportional relationship of depression of mother of children with cerebral palsy with current functional status of their children.Design Pre test and post test experimental correlation study. Participants Mother of both male and female children with a documented diagnosis of Cerebral palsy in the age group of 6 months to 3 years. The children in group a received one hour of occupational therapy based on neurodevelopment therapy. Therapy was individualized for each child’s condition and was dictated by the child’s unique clinical needs. The goal of therapy was to improve postural and functional abilities in different developmental position. Each activity was given for 10 15 minutes depending on child’s interest, attention and interaction with the environment. Each session started from the weight bearing activity and gradually followed by performance of the movement within the developmental context.Main Outcome Measures Beck depression inventory Gross motor functional measure Results Table 6 shows that there is a significant difference p 0.05 e in both GMFM AND BDI scores since the p value are 0.000, which is less than the acceptable level of significance of 0.05. Table 7 shows that there is a negative relationship p 0.05 between children current functional level and mother’s depression level. Conclusions From this study it is concluded that there is p 0.05 negative relationship between BDI score and GMFM score. Hence these findings should be used in caution when treating the patients with cerebral palsy. Effect of nutrients on brain development during pre-school age.pptxMeghaVysakh
Rapid brain development occur during pre school age. 90% brain develepment completed when a child reaches 6 years. Nutrition play a important role in brain and cognitive development in early childhood.macro and micro nutrients influences the brain development in children. micro nurients such as zinc, iron, iodine, vitamin D, B12, C and essential fatty acid are the primarily important nutrient. Deficiencies in these nutrients interfere with the brain functions and cause loss of memory, ASD, ADHD cognitive impairment etc.
Our aim is to alleviate human suffering related to diabetes and its complications among those least able to withstand the burden of the disease. From 2002 to March 2017, the World Diabetes Foundation provided USD 130 million in funding to 511 projects in 115 countries. For every dollar spent, the Foundation raises approximately 2 dollars in cash or as in-kind donations from other sources. The total value of the WDF project portfolio reached USD 377 million, excluding WDF’s own advocacy and strategic platforms.

What Happens to Children When Their Brains Develop Too QuicklyHeathier Me Today
Have you ever wondered what children lose when their brains develop too fast? A child's brain may not develop properly if it does so too quickly as they get older. Although there are many potential causes, it is more likely to happen when a child has had unpleasant events in their early years or first few months. There are numerous indicators of this, and it is our responsibility as parents to watch out for them. Making sure your child has a lengthy, healthy, and happy childhood is the key to avoiding this. Executive Summary
Fuel Your Brain, Not Your Belly is a program that has been developed in hopes
of reducing rates of obesity. With Michigan having one of the highest rates of obesity in
the United States, it is time to take charge and implement a program that will reduce this
life threatening epidemic. Obesity stems from a lack of knowledge in nutrition and
exercise. This program will involve building a foundation for the children within their
schools in the West Bloomfield School District that will educate them on how to live a
long, healthy life. If children are taught from a young age about how to stay healthy and
fuel their brains, there is no doubt that we can reduce rates of obesity. We are requesting a grant in the amount of $50,000 from The Gates Foundation to assist in funding the startup costs of our venture. These startup costs include the costs of local produce, nutrition days, raising awareness, and Fuel Your Brain goody bags which include helpful take home information for the children.
Proposal Description
Children that grow up with a lack of knowledge in nutrition and exercises to stay
healthy, tend to have a greater chance of becoming obese. When a child lacks knowledge
of proper nutrition and a steady exercise routine, they are not only affecting their physical appearance. The inside of their bodies are significantly affected. Obesity decreases an
individual’s life expectancy, reduces attention span and ...
How using neurofeedback can improve mental focus and be part of treatment for ADHD. And how tracking mental health with the latest apps can flag burnout, depression and even conditions like Alzheimer's well before they would currently be diagnosed.
Low birth weight is one of the major problems for the new born baby throughout its life. It is the single most important factor determining the survival chances of the child. Many of them die during their first year. The weight of the baby is the best indicator to evaluate the newborn as well as the maternal health and the nutritional status of the mother. Most of the extreme low birth weight baby dies in the early months or year. And those who survive will have various health problem in their future life like muscle weakness, low IQ, heart problem, diabetes etc. Low birth weight can be prevented by providing proper nutrition and avoiding various unwanted things like smoking, alcohol consumption, medication without prescription & over exertion of the body which will lead to tiredness & weakness. Various research studies were also done to find the causes, prevention & treatment of Low birth weight.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
