COMPUTER
 What is COMPUTER?
 Computer is an electronic device that
converts date into information. It
takes input from user, processes it
and produces output.
PARTS OF COMPUTER
 According to functionality of a
computer we can divide it into
three main parts:
 INPUT
 PROCESS
 OUTPUT
INPUT
 What is INPUT?
 Input is any date or instructions
that is entered to the computer.
 Input can be in form of audio,
video, graphics and animations.
process
 What is PROCESS?
 Computer data processing is any
process that uses a computer
program to enter data and
summarize, analyze or otherwise
to concert data into usable
information.
OUTPUT
 What is OUTPUT?
 Output is any data that has been
processed into useful form. The
computer takes the input from
user, processes it and produces
output. Output can be in form of
audio, video, graphics and
animations.
COMPONENTS OF COMPUTER
 There are three main
components of computer:
 (1) INPUT DEVICES
 (2) CPU
 (3) OUTPUT DEVICES
INPUT DEVICES
 What are INPUT DEVICES?
 Any hardware component that is
used to enter data, programs,
commands and user’s response
into a computer is called input
device.
CPU
 What is CPU?
 CPU stands for central processing
unit. It acts as its “control centre” and
it also runs the machine’s operating
system and apps.
OUTPUT DEVICES
 What are OUTPUT DEVICES?
 Any hardware component that is used
to show results after processing is
called output device. It can be in form
of text, audio, video, graphics and
animations.
