Tariverde village is located in northeastern Romania and has a population of 1,152. It has a multicultural history, being settled in the 19th century by German, Kashubian, Bulgarian, Turkish, and Romanian peoples. The architectural styles reflect these different ethnic origins. Notably, the Lutheran Germans built the iconic Saint Peter and Paul Church in the 1910s. Today, Tariverde continues to showcase interculturality through the coexistence of the Romanian, Aromanian, German, and Turkish cultures. It also looks to the future with the construction of a new 400 kV substation to support renewable energy from local wind farms.
