This document analyzes two movie posters, noting that one keeps things simple by showing the protagonist looking at the audience alongside a slogan summarizing the film. The other takes a minimalist approach, only showing the title, though this lacks conventions like images that audiences expect. The analysis concludes posters should strike a balance, keeping it simple but also including conventional elements that provide audiences key information.

1. Poster Analysis<br />For this film the producers of this poster have kept it simple. The poster on the left shows the protagonist looking the audience in the eye which allows the audience to identify with him. Over the top is a slogan which sums up the film. The poster is very simple advertises the film perfectly. The poster below has gone for the minimalist look, its extremely simple and only shows the title of the film. Again this poster gets to the point and describes the film quite well. On the other hand it doesnt show the conventions of an average poster this could affect the advertising as it doesn’t show key features which an audience would like to see such as an image. These poster have inspired me to keep mine simple but they have also encourgaed me to stick to conventions as they work and give the audience all the information they need.<br />
