1. Poster Analysis<br />This poster uses a symmetrical layout and in this case I think it works. Again the back ground used is an image which works well as the image and colouring portrays the mood of the film. At the top they use a caption to promote the film and they also use alliteration a language technique to draw the audience in. They have included names such as the protagonist and director to entice the audience in if they know that particular stars name. The title is written in bold larger writing to emphasise it as it is an important part of the advertisement. At the bottom is a slogan which sums up the film and makes the viewer wonder what this mean and encourages them to watch the film. This poster has inspired me to use mellow colours which aren’t too in your face and also to use a slogan to entice the viewer. <br />For this poster they have again used an image as the background but they have taken a different stance by using a close up of the character. This allows the audience to identify with the character before they have even seen the film encouraging them to watch it. They have darkened around the edges to make the audience focus even more on his facial features. Again the caption is at the top with the title in large letters at the bottom. This poster has inspired me to use close ups so the audience can identify with the character especially as our film is also centred around one character. Also the use of a slogan is useful as it sums up the film and the audience know if it is a film they would like to see. I also think that our poster should have the release date on it so the audience can plan ahead if they want to watch it. <br />
