The document investigates the effects of different aircraft engine nacelle placements - under-wing, in-wing, and over-wing - on drag using computational fluid dynamics simulations. Initial flat plate approximations suggested in-wing placement had the lowest drag. 2D aerofoil simulations found under-wing and over-wing had lower drag than in-wing. A full 3D wing simulation was not completed due to time constraints. More research is needed to definitively determine the most efficient nacelle placement configuration.
