Malaysia is currently experiencing a third wave of infections. - The pandemic has impacted achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, exacerbating issues like poverty, hunger, lack of access to education, unemployment, and gender inequalities. - Community initiatives have provided support during lockdowns by sewing PPE, assisting students, and more. Moving forward, countries must strengthen preparedness, promote health awareness, ensure connectivity for remote areas, and sustain social protection systems. The experience with COVID-19 will help the world improve pandemic response in the future.
