 It is the establishment of a colony in one territory by a
political power from another territory & the
subsequent maintenance,expansion & explotation of
that country.
 Usually,it is a more powerful, richer country that talks
control of a small,less powerful territory.

 It speaks about the human consequences of external
control & economic exploitation of a native people &
its lands.
 Post colonial theory establishes Intellectual spaces for
subaltern people to speak for themselves in their own
voices & thus produce cultural discourses of
