Pornography Research Paper
1. Pornography Research Paper
Pornography is a word that is used widely across the world. It is used as a topic of jokes on television sitcoms or as a topic of distress in various
religious settings. But, what are the real effects of pornography on our international society? Up until the 1900's, the dominate media outlets of
pornography were through magazines, videos, DVS's and television. However, since the intention of the Internet and Smartphone cell phones, these
sexual visuals have been by nearly every individual to walk the earth. Every country on every continent ways of exploring all types of pornography.
Some authors state that pornography is defined as printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity,

While many individuals seek out pornography. Many people are victims to Internet ads, magazine articles, or cell phone side bars that contain
pornography material. Chen, professor at National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan, wanted to know more about Internet pornography and
intentional vs. intentional exposure. Chen, and his team, conducted an analysis of Taiwanese adolescents that involved "seeking Internet pornography,
motivations and perceptions with regard to Internet pornography, and relationship among internet pornography experiences and background
variables."(Chen,2013,p.157).They were able to explore Internet pornography usage, seeking activity, experience, exposure characteristics, motivation
for and perceptions of Internet pornography among the Taiwanese senior high school students. Results revealed that 71%of respondent had been
exposed to Internet pornography; of this group. 41.3% reported only intentional exposure and 58.7% reported intentional exposure." (Chen.2013,p157).

2. Essay on The Future of Education
The Future of Education
As teachers our primary concern should be the students and what type of learning environment will be best suited to meet their needs. There are many
different opinions as top what the most effective or appropriate curriculum is for the students. I do not believe there is any one philosophy that can
provide the ideal curriculum for each and every student. Just as there are numerous methods of teaching, there are also numerous ways to learn. It is
essential that we keep this in mind as we help the students achieve their goals and discover their talents. Above all we must encourage the students to try
new things and do what we can to prevent limiting them in any way.
I do not feel that I...show more content...
I think that many of the schools today merely try to prepare the students to move on to college and by doing so exclude the students who are gifted
with other abilities that are equally important and useful in society, even though those talents may not necessarily be something that can be refined
through a traditional four year college.
As a future teacher, I very strongly believe that students need to be shown practical applications of the concepts they are taught. For myself this is
especially notable in mathematical applications. As teachers we need to not just show how to work through a problem: we need to show why it works
and what it is useful for. Without something to apply the information to math is nothing more than a stream of numbers and formulas that students
memorize for a specific test and then quickly forget. By demonstrating specific examples of applications the students will be able to retain some of the
information easier and then adapt what they learn to other problems they encounter in the future.
Upon graduation I hope to begin teaching Math at the middle school or high school level. Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra would be my first
choices of classes I would like to teach, but I feel I would enjoy teaching any of the other forms of math. I would prefer to teach in a rural area since

3. Argumentative Essay On Climate Change
Climate change can be traced down to since the midâ1800s, when the industrial revolution first started taking place all around the world. Lives of
human and animal species have been negatively affected since then, with events such as natural disasters, the melting of ice in polar regions, and
change in weather and living conditions. Climate change in polar regions, in particular, has faced the most damage compared to any other region
because of its location in regard to the sun. Climate change holds many different views and opinions about the effects, and even the existence itself, but
evidence is clear and unmistakable in global ramifications and local impact in polar regions.
"...Climate change [is] the 'greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people'", skeptics like Senator Inhofe of Oklahoma like to say. Climate
change is change in climate patterns due to an increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases produced by certain human activity. According to
the National Snow and Ice Data Center, data taken by satellite has shown that the Arctic cover has decreased by 30% over the past 30 years, and this
change, which also include change in sea ice and permafrost, in artic weather and climate is caused by humans. Although numerous scientists have
confirmed the legitimacy of climate change, there are different views on whether climate change is real or not. Government officials like Senator Jim
Inhofe of Oklahoma or Senator Marco Rubio of Florida have explicitly stated that they do not believe climate change is neither real, nor caused by
humans (Tom McCarthy, 2014). On the other hand, mainstream media and other media outlets, such as The Independent and The Economist, have
reported their findings of climate change and its legitimacy. The Independent (Conner, S. 2011) reported that records of these changes were taken by
military submarines, land measurements, and satellite data to prove ice in polar regions are melting faster and faster. Satellites have tracked sea ice
since the 1970s and by nuclear submarines since the Cold War,
according to Peter Wadhams of Cambridge University and it was predicted that by September 2015, there would be no more sea ice. (Conner, S.
2011). Luckily, sea ice has not

4. Essay on Medical Research
Should medical research be continued when many couldn 't afford it?
Science has advanced by leaps and bounds over the years, with much of the results are achieved through plenty of research and knowledge. One of the
areas of research where we spend the most funds on is medical research. With the rise of poverty and healthcare costs, complaints on expensive
medical research being a waste of funds have arose. The thoughts behind these complaints are that the result of these researches benefit more to some
partiesâsuch as medical institutions for the profit they might get, a country for its 'name ', and the researchers for their satisfactionâ instead of the
public, and how massive amount of funding have been allocated for medical research...show more content...
Preventative medicine is one of the most important discoveries in the history of medicine. Diseases that were once common are now very rare
because of this type of medicine, or normally called 'vaccine '. For instance, the research into polio vaccines spent a significant amount of funds, but it
was a wonderful success. Additionally, the price for the vaccine is very reasonable, showing that medical research doesn 't always result in expensive
treatments. The medications for dengue fever has found thanks to medical research. However, intensive experiments have found an evidently cheaper
and easily obtainable natural medication, which is papaya leaf juice. It is also notable that along with the progression of the medical sector, healthcare
costs and medicines for many common illnesses are now cheaper than they were in the past. With new discoveries regarding the substances used to
make the medicines, less expensive substances are used and therefore making them cheaper and more accessible.
It is also to be considered that if we disallow a research for continuing just because of expenditure reason, we risk destroying its value entirely. For
example, the research into cancer has gone for a long period. It is a pity to stop it because that would mean destroying the value of ongoing multiâyear
studies. Even though it is true that current research hasn 't resolved the issues of cancer and other 'currently incurable ' diseases, there is no

5. Abortion I chose to write about the topic of Abortion because it is something most everyone has a strong opinion about, you either fight for or
against it, or not at all but I am sure you have an opinion. As a woman whom has gone through an abortion and not afraid to say it, of course I have
a strong opinion but that doesn't mean I don't think it can be abused. I often find myself thinking about all the other situations girls and women are
often in and find themselves making a hard decision. What rights should we have? Should we be ashamed? Is it moral? These are just a fraction of
questions to be answer but if I know one thing I believe women have a right to decide what to do with their own body. No matter what I believe there is

A large population doesn't think men go through much when being involved with an abortion but that is a stereotype. Many men go through the same
emotions as women, such as guilt or constantly thinking if you made the right decision. It is also common for the father to want more rights in the
decision but it is ultimately not his. Right along with the men, women too have to make a decision, the most common I found are; youth, financial
reason, emotionally unstable, rape or just not interested in having children. All in which seem valid reasons. It may seem like a no brainer to some
when considering the many options on getting an abortion but what about the people who abuse abortions? Upon research I found many women
who've had 7 or more abortions are more likely sexually abused, but that was only one quarter of women getting abortions. The other 3 quarters just
astonish me and that's when I can start see outsiders getting upset, although at the end of the day it is none of their business... that sure doesn't stop
them. People such as Fred Phelps whom picket abortion clinics are the lowest of low in my book but something drives them to go out of their way to
express their opinion on this topic. With religion being a big portion of their reasons behind making a difficult decision into a

used as an integral component of the primary and secondary prevention in reducing mortality and improving the quality of life. Upon reviewing the
literature, the author found that, patients' perspective about physical exercise differs widely. In their study Holder et al (2015) found that, the increased
awareness of the mortality after the cardiac event, help the patients to change their outlook towards life and this further help them to realise the health
benefit of exercise. In addition to that, some of the patients claimed that, exercise helped to divert their mind and thus helps them to cope with the

therefore they were motivated to continue the exercise (Hillsdon et al, 2013; Morken et al, 2013). Exercising in a safe environment, under the

What is the Impact of Stress on University Students Academic Performance?
1. EXPLANATION OF RESEARCH TOPIC
1.1 Purposes of Research Topic
Newth (2011) claims that modern day stress seems to be more widespread than ever causing interference with human intellect, emotional and
interpersonal functioning. Therefore; I suggest that students will encounter stress and it will impact their academic performance. In this fast pace and
performance driven society each organization needs well performing people. The only way we will know what people require to become productive
and less stressed is to explore topics as my research question. The topic...show more content...
Which collects the health statistics of students from universities all around the world every second year, reported that 40.2 percent of Santa Clara
University students identified that stress affected their individual academic performance during the last 12 months of their studies (Temple,2011).
Temple (2011) reported a survey conducted in 2004 that assessed the overall wellâbeing of 47,202 undergraduates nationwide. The findings were that
32.4 percent of students recognized stress as the main obstacle to their academic performance. This was said to be above the common cold,
depression, death of a relative, sexual assault and eating disorders. Stress is "once considered as the nation's number one health epidemic; prolonged
stress can lead to ulcers, heart disease, stroke, major depression and to a shorter life span" (Temple, 2011).
Based on these findings from research done previously I feel that this study is important. Firstly, we need to understand what causes the stressors and
how it affects the individual. For example, if you have an entire university with stressed students, not being productive, not performing well
academically perhaps thinking of dropping out of university because of the overwhelming anxiety; it can be detrimental to the institution in terms of
status and students in terms of individual realisation. Secondly, we soon have to formulate effective and efficient stress management guidelines as we

Higher education is optional, but to enter a respectable career, one must continue their education in order to achieve his financial and/or personal goals.
Teenagers who attend college use their extended schooling to further obtain knowledge. The primary objective of higher education is to enhance one's
abilities for his future. A student can learn from school in numerous ways, but liberal education is not a way to attract students into further and higher

However, he has not thought about the students who want to attend college and quickly earn their degree so they can start their careers.
I disagree with Bloom because he encourages the idea of taking extra irrelevant classes to achieve the experience of education. It usually takes about
four years to earn a bachelors degree. There are many courses such as English, math, history, art, etc. that a student must go through before they get to
start on the classes that concentrate on their intended major. These basic courses are part of a program called general education. After completing
general education (which usually takes about two years), the students can then begin to study for their degree. Colleges should abandon the law of
students having to take general education courses because the courses are irrelevant to their field of study, unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of
taking the extra courses, students can simply meet their needs of a degree in a shorter period of time. Also, Bloom not only that wants students to take
general education courses, he wants them to further their education by taking advanced irrelevant courses. Therefore, in their future, they would have
numerous opportunities for a better career. Because if a job is not right for the student, he would have other choices to obtain a new job.
Rose feels students should not learn from the canon books style. Students have an easier time learning when they relate to the

Anxiety â part of the body's natural reaction to stress â can even be helpful at times, making you more alert and ready for action. But anxiety disorders

Erroneous data collection can impact the results of a study and ultimately lead to invalid results. Data collection methods for impact evaluation vary
along a scale. At the one end of this scale are quantitative methods and at the other end of the scale are Qualitative methods for data collection.
Choosing a particular data collection method will depend on the accuracy of information they will yield and the practical considerations, such as, the

involves the use of numbers to assess information. This information can then be evaluated using statistical analysis which offers researchers the
opportunity to dig deeper into the data and look for greater meaning. The Quantitative data collection methods rely on random sampling and structured

A wildfire is any instance of uncontrolled burning in grasslands, brush, or woodlands. Wildfires destroy property and valuable natural resources, and

usually signaled by dense smoke which may fill the air for miles around. The National Weather Service, U.S. Forest Service, and State forestry

On the actual day of the fire, the fire planners will again check such conditions as wind and moisture content in the vegetation. The wind direction
will determine where the fire is started. Fire crews start the burn with a device called a drip torch. A drip torch is a can of fuel with a flameâcarrying
wick at the end. When the crewmember tilts the wick toward the ground, a flame streams out and ignites the vegetation. Most of the effort that goes
into a prescribed fire is making sure that it is contained in the boundaries set for the fire. Firefighters and fire suppression equipment are near the site if
the fire grows out of control (www.nps.gov/wica/firâwhy.html, pgs. 1â3).
While not all the effects of prescribed burns are known some are very evident. The first of these common effects is that vegetation and fallen dead
material are burned creating an open forest floor. This eliminates any fuel that could contribute to a high intensity fire in the future. When the fire burns
the organic material in the forest, nutrient rich ash is left behind. When the first rain comes, the nutrients in the ash dissolve into the soil for the new
plants to use. This process is called nutrient recycling. These nutrients left in the soil are a good source of food for the young plants that will begin to
grow back. Another outcome of prescribed fire is that new growth begins immediately after the fires have been extinguished. Within

The methodological strength and weaknesses of this two sampling methods is discussed in terms of identifying the samples for research, the

selection of sampling unit is left to a random process, all units in the sample has an equal and nonâzero chance of being selected on a probability
ground or chance and not on the choice or judgement of the researcher (Sim,J and Wright,C. 2000,). Convenience sampling is an example of non
probability sampling where the selection of the units is not by chance, rather it is dependent on the researcher's judgement, the researcher decides the
samples to be included in the study which may be subject to availability, time, individual preferences etc. The probability of selection of a particular
sampling unit may or may not be known. Stratified random sampling is commonly done in quantitative researches. When the samples reflect the
characteristics of the target population in the same proportion; assumptions can be made on generalizing the data acquired from these samples provided
it has been done correctly, since it is statistically representative (Sim,J and wright,C.,2000) but sampling error

Importance and purpose of research
Research is important to understand, increase knowledge, and get information for social life. Social research is conducted to extend knowledge about
some aspects of society like humanities, business or any social science [asi]. Research is used to form or develop new theories in order to understand
the process behind particular event or behavior, or review the correctness of existing theories. In addition, research is also conducted to inform decisions
