3. We broke open an existing wall to create a feeling of openness and welcome to
prospective students and their families. Knocking down or adding wall via
Construction/Demolition documents are included in all major projects.

The most enjoyable work for me is the
work that challenges me to move in a
direction that is new and can also be
overwhelming to most clients.
Healthcare environments are one of
these projects- It is a balance of the
proper materials, clearances and codes
that makes this challenging but also
makes me work hard for the beautiful
finish result!
5. We took an old storage area and created a meting area, computer stations for students and
much needed offices. We had fun with color and textures in this space to create a exciting
environment for all. Re-working unused or underused areas is something a good designer can
do for your client, using my talent for envisioning “what can be” out of very little is what
makes me a great designer!

9. Designing a working
showroom makes you
re-think every design
principle you thought
you knew. You are
now designing a
space for every
working person in
one single room
instead of focusing on
one person/area at a
time. Creating
workable vignettes
and good flow are
key to designing a
successful showroom.

One of my favorite area to work on
is the Conference or Meeting rooms.
I love the technology involved into
making this space functional and
the new products coming out daily,
it seems, can really keep a girl on
her toes.

14. Mandy Welman
Mandy has worked with numerous Architects, Engineers and Developers over the past sixteen years, as
well as working independently on numerous project across the United States- including casino interiors,
corporate headquarters, and many other commercial projects since 1999.
I have always believed that “Great design begins with understanding the needs of your client, which
means each project is unique.” That is one of the many fascinating parts of this job- getting to know the
amazing variety of people I do in the course of my projects.
As a Commercial Designer, I try to draw on a number of resources- these include a history of
design, use of custom materials and having an eye for the details of each project. My ultimate goal is to
create an environment that embraces the occupants with style, comfort, functionality and durability.
