Sense the pressure at an alternate
location rather at the inlet of the main
valve
Availability
This is a standard option
available upon request. The
remote since tubing would be
installed during the installation
and commissioning of the
POPRV.
Function
Inlet line loss >3% can create
instability in a relief valve
known as valve chatter. This
instability can damage parts,
create leakage, damage the
valve, or even the entire
system. Remote sense option
can sense the pressure at an
alternate location (typically
closer to the protected vessel)
eliminating valve chatter and
improving stability.

5. Prevent the main valve from lifting and possibility for
reverse flow when backpressure exceeds inlet pressure
