This presentation summarises The Climate Institute’s report, Climate Smart Super: Understanding Superannuation & Climate Risk, which examines the impact of climate and carbon risks on retirement and superannuation savings, especially in Australia. Superannuation funds are often Australians’ biggest or second biggest asset but until now very few have had accessible information enabling them to take an active role in managing that asset against climate and carbon policy risks. This report (and presentation) offers a number of simple steps to assist people to engage with their super funds so that they can move from being accidental to active investors and start challenging the dangerous short term focus in business and politics that threatens retirement savings. This document contains lessons about wild animals. It introduces different categories of animals such as pets, farm animals, and wild animals. The lessons teach about identifying wild animals from clues in their nests, skins, or prints. They also cover nocturnal animals and their habits. Later lessons discuss wild animals that live in cities and how to rescue animals. The final lessons are about studying different types of birds around the world, in various habitats, and identifying features such as feathers, beaks, wings, and tails.

Disrupting the Food / Agri Landscape in Southeast Asia With Tech Innovatione27
This document summarizes a presentation about opportunities for technological disruption in Southeast Asia's food and agriculture sector. It notes changing consumer trends, urbanization, and environmental impacts are creating opportunities but also challenges around unbalanced supply and demand of food. The food system is ripe for disruption through digitalization and innovations at the crossroads of multiple disciplines. However, the agtech/foodtech sector remains underinvested in Asia-Pacific. The Future Food Asia platform aims to help create momentum around these issues by scouting startups working on food challenges across 14 categories in Southeast Asia and other regions. It has received an overwhelming response from Asia-Pacific and found many smart ventures addressing Southeast Asia's context.
This document provides information about an Asian country with a population that is 14.9% Muslim, a high GDP, and a well-developed social setup including education and infrastructure. It shares cultural similarities with Pakistan. The country's GDP has grown significantly from 1980 to 2010. It lies north of the equator between Malaysia and Indonesia, consisting of one large island and many small islands.
This document summarizes key points about food market transformation and food security in Asia, with a focus on China and India. It discusses the four "legs" of food security: availability, access, utilization, and stability. It also examines the rapid urbanization, economic growth, and integration occurring in Asian countries through foreign direct investment and trade. Key trends include the rising importance of non-rice foods, food processing, supermarkets, and intra-Asian trade. Data on GDP growth, poverty rates, rice yields, and more are presented to compare food security indicators in China and India. The challenges of feeding the growing populations in these "Dragon and Elephant" economies are also addressed.

Michael Catanzaro presented on USD's e-waste recycling center and efforts to improve its operations. The center provides a free drop-off location for residents and businesses to dispose of electronic waste responsibly. In its first year, the center collected over 100,000 pounds of e-waste. However, it operates at a monthly deficit and needs to double its monthly collection to break even. Catanzaro proposes strategies to increase marketing, collection pounds, and revenue from resale or reuse of parts in order to improve the financial sustainability of the e-waste recycling program.
The document discusses New Zealand's reliance on its "clean green" image for tourism and agriculture which contribute significantly to GDP. However, New Zealand faces sustainability challenges as it has one of the largest ecological footprints per capita and high rates of prisoners and nitrogen fertilizer use which impacts water quality. The document advocates for a sustainable future that considers the economy, environment and social equity.
The aim of this book is twofold: to present comparative estimates of a common climate change impact using the cases of climate-induced impact on agriculture in the Philippines and Indonesia; and to explore some big challenges in the region’s mitigation e orts through the case of fuel subsidy in Malaysia, and the case of deforestation-based emission in Indonesia.

”What we have learned about improving the effectiveness of aid to improve sustainability - and what lessons can be applied to the WASH sector?” by Mr. Serge Tomasi, Deputy Director, OECD Development Cooperation Directorate
This document discusses the importance of valuing ecosystem services in food systems and rural economies. It notes that billions of people rely on agricultural production for their livelihoods, including many small farms, and that sustainable farming practices have significantly increased yields. However, private sector activities often generate public costs by damaging ecosystems. For example, shrimp farms in Thailand generated private profits but resulted in large losses from mangrove destruction. The document calls for reforms to address negative externalities of corporations and push them within planetary boundaries. It outlines the TEEB initiative to value ecosystem services in the agriculture and food sector through frameworks, methods, and policy recommendations.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.
