Civil Society of Bangladesh
Bangladesh started a tradition of civil
society activism in three decades since
independence.
• Role of NGO: In 1970 and 1980s NGO started Mobilizing millions of
people.
• Conflict between civil Society & state: The confrontation between two
parties create a space for civil society.
• Role of Civil Society: civil society played great role during last days of
Ershad regime. In recent years they have limited their value as third force.
