Polar bears mainly eat seals. They use their eyes to survive predators and their soft, fuzzy fur keeps them warm in snow. Polar bears spend most of their lives hunting on ice and looking for mates as solitary adults. They live in Arctic regions like the Atlantic and Antarctica. Male polar bears can grow up to 10 feet tall and weigh over 1,700 pounds, while newborn cubs are only 12-14 inches and 1 pound. Losing their adaptations would prevent polar bears from surviving.
