Page 1 (Cover):  Create an acrostic poem using your name—10 points Page 2:  Write two original similes—5 points Page 3:  Write two original metaphors—5 points Page 4:  Write an alliteration, and include a picture—5 points Page 5:  Write a sentence using an onomatopoeia, and draw a picture to accompany it—5 points Page 6:  Write an idiom, and include a picture—5 points
Poetry Project-Continued Page 7:  Write a sentence using personification and a sentence using hyperbole (these should be two separate sentences)—10 points Page 8:  Create a concrete poem—10 points  Page 9:  Write an autobiographical poem—10 points Page 10:  Write a haiku, and draw a picture to accompany the poem—10 points Page 11:  Write a diamonte poem—10 points Page 12:  Copy the poem “Dreams” –10 points (5 for copying the poem correctly, and 5 for reciting it) Quality of work—5 points Remember, this is a TEST/PROJECT GRADE.  Your best work is expected! Accuracy and Neatness count!  Plan out what you are going to do before you write in your booklet. You will not get another booklet!
