Rhetoric should be avoided because it is an immoral practice that leads to manipulation and deception. It focuses on persuasion rather than truth or the good of citizens. While some see two types of rhetoric, most living orators use it for flattery rather than improving people. We should pursue virtue and avoiding doing wrong over any gains from injustice.
