2. Plantar Warts
• Plantar Warts appear as unsightly bumps
or sores usually on the bottom of a
person's foot.
• There can be one or more of these "sores"
appearing on the ball of the foot or on or
between the toes, on the heel or sides of
the foot.
3. Plantar Warts
• Plantar warts are sometimes referred to as
"verruca." These can cause severe pain
and discomfort.
• A verruca can grow to size a little smaller
than a dime and may spread into a bunch
or cluster of small warts referred to as
satellites.
4. Plantar Warts
• Plantar warts are caused by the human
papiloma virus (HPV). This virus is
contagious, but can only be caught by
direct contact.
• A person can easily pick up the virus on
their foot from walking barefooted in a
public washroom, swimming pool or gym
bathroom. These are on some examples.
5. Plantar Warts
• Most plantar warts aren't a serious health
concern but they can grow and become
increasingly painful and may sometimes
bleed.
• Of course that makes it uncomfortable to
walk and can be a source of great misery.
