1) The document outlines three double exposure experiments the photographer plans to conduct for a college project between January 31st and February 7th 2014 using a DSLR camera.
2) The first experiment involves combining an image of a model with an image related to their emotion, such as placing an image of something frightening inside the outline of the model.
3) The second experiment involves overlaying two images of a model - one emotionless and one expressing an emotion - to show how people present emotions differently than how they actually feel.
4) The third experiment involves taking outdoor images of various subjects and headshots, then combining different subject-headshot pairs that look good together.

Experiment:
I would like to explore the technique of double exposure for this project. In my 3
images I would like to explore different techniques of multiple exposures. My first
experiment I would like to combining two images, the first image I would like to
photograph my model and as I am using the theme of discovering emotions I would
also like to photograph a subject, which links in with their emotion for example fear I
would use a subject, which they are scared of. I would like to use the outline of my
model and use the image of the subject to be placed inside the outline. I will take my
photographs in my own time with my own camera however I will edit my photos
using Photoshop at college where I will use digital techniques to create a multiple
exposure effect.
Another experiment, which I would like to use, would be to take two images of my
model. The first one I would like them to just look very emotionless however on the
second image I would like them to be showing their emotion such as happiness,
sadness or angriness. I would then like to overlay both of the images, which will then
show my models impression and then their emotion combined into one image. I
would also experiment with making the images black and white as I think that this
would create a stronger image. My aim for this experiment is to represent how
people present their emotions to how they are actually feeling. To achieve this effect
I will be able to use my cameras settings by setting the camera to image overlay. I
will then take two images of my subject on the same background. Using this effect it
will then programme both images over each other. I will then save the image and
upload it into Photoshop. I will then be able to adjust the image and change the
brightness contrast and opacity of the image.
I also have an idea of going outside and taking images of lots of different images of
different subjects such as flowers, plants, trees, cars and buildings. I will also
photograph different headshots of people. After I have a wide range of subjects to
choose from I will match up the subjects with the headshots until I find two
combinations which go well together.
