why prayer is so important.

Salvation = Rescue (being rescued from our sin and restored to God through all Jesus did)
We are lost in an ocean of sin. We need to be rescued from our sin.

Plan of Salvation Outline
1. Why We Need Jesus
• Sin – turning from God to be your own god, to break God’s law. (1 John 3:4)
• Spiritual death – being separated from God who is the only source of life. (Romans 6:23)
• Physical death – when your physical body dies. (Hebrews 9:27)
• Judgment – standing before Jesus to give an account of your life. (Revelation 20:11-15)
• Hell – the place of everlasting punishment for sin, lake of fire. (Luke 12:5)
• Wrath of God – God’s righteous anger and punishment against sin. (John 3:36)
• Eternal death – being separated from God forever in hell. (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9)

• Created the universe and everything in it (Colossians 1:15-17)
• Born of a virgin and became a man (Matthew 1:23 and John 1:14)
• Lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15)
• Went to the cross (Mark 15:24-25)

3. How do we receive salvation through Jesus? (Acts 20:20-21)
• Repentance - turning from sin back to God giving Him His rightful place in your life.
• Faith - to believe the gospel and place your trust in Jesus and all He did.
