Three Types of Death In The Bible:
Physical Separation: The Body Dies
Spiritual Separation: The Spirit Dies
Eternal Separation: The Soul Dies

Eve Tempted
And Sinned

The Enemies Against Our Faith:
1) The Flesh: Internal Enemy
2) The World: External Enemy
3) The Devil and His Demons: Invisible Enemy
The Deceitfulness of Sin:
• It will take you further away than you ever wanted to stray
• It will cost you more than you could ever afford to pay
• It will keep you longer than you ever wanted to stay
• It will harden your heart more towards God’s will and way
SIN PROMISES WHAT IT CANNOT DELIVER:
• Sin promises freedom but ends in slavery. It promises release but keeps you captive under its control and power.
• Sin promises freedom from responsibility but someone must suffer the consequences.
• Sin promises to keep a secret but it eventually rats you out.
• Sin promises satisfaction but it leaves you unsatisfied and still in want.
• Sin promises a no credit limit on your behalf but leaves you bankrupt and in debt.
• Sin promises pleasure but ends in pain. It tells you to follow your heart but following it ends in heartache.
• Sin promises you that evil is good and good is evil. Yet God says evil is evil and good is good.
DON’T BE SO QUICK TO BLAME THE
DEVIL
• We are enticed by our own sinful
desires (the flesh lies to us all the
time)
• We are enticed by the sinful
influences of the world (world is
full of lies and must not give into it )
WE MUST:
1) Not gratify the desires of
the flesh
2) Not Love the World
3) Resist the Devil
Sin was imputed onto
man (when Adam and
Eve sinned) yet the
sinless Son of God
became the sin bearer
While at the same
time Christ
imputes His
righteousness to us
WHAT IS SIN?
1. Transgression of the Law (1 John 3:4)
2. Whatever that is not of faith (Romans 14:23)
3. The good you ought to do yet fail to do it (James 4:27)
4. Knowledge of what is evil (Romans 3:20)
5. Rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7; Joshua 1:18)
WE MUST:
1) Confess and repent of sin toward God
2) Believe in Christ that He is faithful and
just to:
• Forgive us of our sins
• And cleanse us from all
unrighteousness
The temptations Eve and
Jesus faced are the same
temptations we face today.
The difference is Jesus
overcame them.
The Remedy: Humility and Repentance towards
God breaks the cycle of sin
