This document discusses reasons for increasing voter registration and turnout among non-English speakers in the UK. 2. Our aims
• One of aims is to showed reasons why young adults
don’t find the need to vote is. Many young people from
Vote Booster website said after voting nothing has
changes, but more problem are introduced and that’s
why they don’t vote. Tim Muffett (a reporter for BBC)
went along to one of his workshops to understand the
reason why young adult don’t vote. However, he found a
different reason which was young adult feels the vote
system mainly targets older adults and elderly people.
But a survey in the UK of young Brits aged 17-21
highlighted the fears from the main parties that young
people are increasingly disengaged from politics. This
represented what the parties thought about young
adults and this could be a reason why young adults
don’t feel the need to vote. knowing the knowledge of
each party.

3. Main Aim
• Our main aim is to gradual increase the percentage of
non-English speakers registration in United Kingdom to
vote. We believe the general public is stuck on one
idea, which is only young people don’t vote. However,
in our questionnaire 20% of our young people aged 19
to 25 said they were going to vote in next election. The
questionnaire showed 40% of our non-English speaker’s
said they felt intimated by another's and wasn’t going
to vote in the next election. The another 40% were
fluent in English and felt they were ready for the next
election and they knew what they were voting for and
why. This showed the reason why we decide to target
this audience mainly, because 51 percentage of the UK
speakers has no English and 25% vote by this. This
represent a huge part of the UK residents are non-
English voters.

• There could be tons of reason’s for our UK residents to not vote, but the main reason we picked up on was
not seeing the change after voting. Many people vote for a particle party, because they agree with the things
they say and do. But imagine you didn’t understand what you were voting and there wasn't the right
resources to support you with it. How will you feel? Many people say it’s their responsibility for the non-
English speakers to learn and get help. However, there are some help to them to vote, but voters who do not
speak English are at risk of being pressured or influenced by translators, undermining local democracy.

• For the base line I have used the font size 14, this is in order to
establish the campaign aim and the font is powerful because it’s not
too big and its not to small which will catch the audiences eye.
• I have used the picture of an English speaking woman in order to
emphasise that not only non-English speakers doesn’t understand the
voting system, but also British citizens. Also the fact that woman is
relatively young shows that we are aiming for our secondary audience
which are young adults.

7. Advertising Regulation
When you want to promote something using an advert you have to consider placement, timing and content also
you have to consider age appropriate adverts.
Chose to focus around the brand image and associative benefits instead of those aligned with consumption.
In the United Kingdom, advertising content regulation is governed by the Advertising Standards Authority
whereas in the UK most forms of outdoor advertising such as the display of billboards is regulated by the UK
Town and County Planning system. Currently the display of an advertisement without consent from the Planning
Authority is a criminal offence liable to a fine of £2500 per offence. All of the major outdoor billboard companies
in the UK have convictions of this nature.
The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations mean you can’t mislead or harass consumers by, for
example:
• Including false or deceptive messages
• Leaving out important information
• Using aggressive sales techniques

All marketing and advertising must be:
• An accurate description of the product or service
• Legal
• Decent
• Truthful
• Honest
• Socially responsible (not encouraging illegal, unsafe or anti-social behaviour)
