• My magazine has the working title of Vision Magazine. It
is called this for several reasons. Firstly it is very snappy
and very easy to remember, I also used it as it stands for
the vision for new music as the magazine will contain lots
of information about new upcoming bands. Finally its all
about seeing the image of music and not just about the
sound.
I chose the colours white and blue as blue has
connotations with confidence and white has connotations of
purity, so together they make the magazine give across the
idea of being outgoing without overdoing it.
• My tag line for my magazine is ‘Seeing the music you
hear’. I used this as my tag line as its was witty line that
would stick in peoples head. Also I used this as it implies
the whole idea behind the magazine of seeing images
and finding out information about the bands that people
listen to.
• As a main feature of my magazine will be images, my tag
line links with this as it talks about seeing the music,
therefore relating to there being lots of images within.
• The frequency in which my magazine would be published
is once every month. This is because from my audience
research the majority of people said that they would or
already do buy a magazine every month. This has an
effect on my cover price. My cover price would be £2.50,
this is because my audience research said that most
people would spend between £1.50 - £3. I chose the
cover price of £2.50 and it is between the price my target
audience would pay however it is towards the higher end
of this as the frequency of the magazine is monthly so
people would be willing to pay a little bit more as there
will be more content and they have saved up during that
• The genre of my magazine is Indie/Contemporary. My
magazine will this genre as it will appeal to the widest
audience range. I can tell this as in my audience
research survey and interview the majority of the
audience said that they enjoy the genre of
Indie/Contemporary. This genre also appeals to a very
wide audience and will make more people want to buy
my magazine.
