- 2. Home invasion- Research • Whatwe learnt from our research on this sub genre is that home invasion is what the name says. It’s a time of horror film based in someones house where a certain person or family gets terrorised and threatened.An example of this type of film is The Purge.
- 3. Home Invasion -Plot • Family secures house incase of invasion • Someone comes and terrorises family form the outside • They blackmail the family into doing something or else • The family tries and work a way around it and it gets worse • The invaders get fed up and force themselves into their house • The family hide from the invaders • The invaders find them and try and kill them • The family fight back in hope that they stay alive • The family eventually get caught and nearly get killed • Dad if the family comes in and saves the day by killing the invaders.
- 4. Home invasion -Setting • The film is going to be set at my house, due to the fact that my house looks very scary and is in a scary looking house.
- 5. Home Invasion -Target Audience • Our target audience for our home invasion OTS will be sort of 14-30 year olds.This would be more of a male film so a percentage of 60% male and 40% male.This would be a film for any class and status, depending on what type of film they watch.
- 6. Home Invasion -How will our film attract the target audience • Our film will attract our target audience by having a lot of jumpy kind of moments and a lot of suspense and hopefully a lot of unpredictability.This way people are on edge at every moment of the the film.

Home invasion -What will your character types/ Social groups be • Our character type would be- • The victim- the boy who has recently moved into his house • The non believer- In this case the older brother who doesn’t believe what’s going on • The friend- The friend who also doesn’t believe the victims and what he says. • The killer- The one who does all the killing
- 8. Home invasion -What type of OTS and why? • The type of OTS we are going to do is Linear this is because its the easiest to film and edit. Also because this type of opening title sequence draws the audience in and makes them want to watch film and see what happens next.

The PLOT • Theplot for out OTS is: • A family leaves their daughter/son on their own for the weekend whilst they go on holiday. • Someone is living on their own for the weekend. • The victim keeps seeing someone near to their house. • the villain breaks into the house. • the villain creeps around the house and the victim is starting to get scared and panics. • The victim tries to ignore it and starts to watch a film to take their mind off it, • The villain then comes into the same room as the victim. • The villain then starts to attack the victim, a lot of blood is then shown, • The villain then starts to try and remove the body from the house out into the garden. • The villain then starts to hide the body so the family doesn't find the body.
- 12. The setting • Thesetting of our film will be in someone’s home the victims home which will make the audience feel sorry for the victim and will be scared more because they will feel like it can happen to them and will fear it could happen to them and this could happen in their home.
- 13. SUB GENRE ANDWHAT WE LEARNT The sub genre we are doing is slasher and we learnt from researching this sub genre is that slashers tend to involve a lot of blood and a lot of gore. Most of the time they are based in someones house or around someones house.A bit like a home invasion. It mainly tends to be late evening/Night time where the crimes/killing takes place.

Character types • Villain- in this case is a male character wearing a mask or something to cover up their identity. • Victim- in this case is a male character that is the son of the family that has been left on their own for the weekend. • non- believer - in this case is the dad of the family when the son sends him texts that he thinks someones broken into the house.
- 15. whaT KIND OFOTS WILL IT BE? • Our OTS will be linear, this is because it will be easier to enforce and create narrative enigmas.Also this way it is to get the audience sucked into your film and to get them to carry on watching the film to the end because they want to know what happens in the rest of the film.

TARGET aUDIENCE • Ourtarget audience for our OTS will be 15-35 year olds, middle class people and a breakdown of 65% male and 35% female this is because there is going to be a lot of gore and blood so it won’t be suitable for anyone under the age of 15 and we won’t mainly aim our OTS are females because females are tend to wince at any sign of blood and gore so they aren’t likely to watch our OTS.

HOW WILL OURFILM ATTRACT OUR TARGET AUDIENCE • Our film will attract our target audience by having a lot of blood and gore with a large amount of violence which the males will want to watch.Also due to their being a villain the audience will feel sorry for the victim and want to see how it ends, if the victim survives or not.Also due to their being a lot of blood and gore there will be a lot of action and it will keep our audience on the edge of their seats.
- 18. Inspirational Film -Scream • Our inspirational film was scream, this is because it has alot of gore and violence within the film which we would want to re create but with our own twist on it.Also it relatively easy to film and edit.
