7 Daily Action Steps For Results In Your BusinessWale Bello
This presentation contains 7 daily action steps you should take to succeed in your business. I am going to show you how you can apply these action steps in your business to get the results that you want to get - making more money.
In this presentations we've listed 13 reasons to blog. Here's the intro...
A blog is a great way to communicate with your customers and potential customers. It gives them a ‘feel’ for you as a company. It helps them make buying decisions. And it helps you to promote your products which in turn helps you sell more 'stuff'.
But an important reason to have a blog now, in 2014, is because Google will reward you for it. More than ever before, Google now relies heavily on high quality regularly updated content.

Using the PicCollage App for Reading ComprehensionJennifer Jones
Creation apps are the hottest thing in the classroom right now. Most teachers have PicCollage on their phone for saving memories with pictures from the camera roll. But, how many teachers are using PicCollage for learning? Or, better yet, turning the app usage over to students? I created this presentation for my session at the Margaret Blount Harvey Literacy Institute in Greenville, North Carolina. Teachers will learn why Pic Collage is the perfect app for digital creations, see several examples of PicCollage for reading comprehension and create a PicCollage f their own.
This is my slide deck from my session at the North Carolina Reading Conference last week in Raleigh, NC. I do staff development to schools and districts all over the country about best practices in literacy instruction. This topic is one of my most requested.
Genius Strategies for Engaging Followers through Social MediaJennifer Jones
I created this presentation for the North Carolina Agritourism Conference in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, January 15, 2016. The target audience is a co-op of 100 small North Carolina farms who are looking for ways to increase their social media presence and bring folks to their farms.
If Rosa Parks Could Text: Content Area Writing in the Literacy BlockJennifer Jones
These are the slides I created for my session at the North Carolina Reading Conference, held in Raleigh, North Carolina, March 15-17, 2015. The essence of this presentation is about the necessary Intermediate Literacy writing skills necessary as students are "learning to write" and learning the content at the same time. Disciplinary literacy may be a bit of stretch for elementary but we can begin teaching students how to read and write like a historian, how to read and write like a scientist, and how to read and write like a mathematician. #ncra15 Accompanying handouts are on my Slideshare page, too. #presentationzen #contentareawriting #writingaboutreading #disciplinaryliteracy #writingtolearn I am happy to come and deliver this enthusiastic and energetic professional development session to your school or district. Teaching with Urgency Without Teaching to the TestJennifer Jones
These are the slides I created for my session at the North Carolina Reading Conference, held in Raleigh, North Carolina, March 15-17, 2015. The essence of this presentation is about raising our awareness, as teachers, about time. The amount of time we teach, te amount of time it takes students to complete assignments, the amount of time is takes us to respond and give instructional feedback to students, the amount of time we waste by taking group bathroom breaks, the amount #ncra15 Accompanying handouts are on my Slideshare page, too. #presentationzen #vitalinstructionalbehaviors

Graphic Organizers for the Common Core: ELA (K-2) Preview SamplerJennifer Jones
This is preview sample of the graphic organizers I have created, from scratch, to align with each of the Reading Literature (RL) and Reading Informational Text (RIT) standards of the Common Core for ELA. As you know, WRITING ABOUT READING is BIG in the Common Core, and these sheets give students just that opportunity to respond thoughtfully and a rigorous way that is called for in the Common Core standards. In the full version, there are over 400 graphic organizers in all. The Common Core standard for which each page aligns in noted in the upper right corner of each sheet, which is helpful if your gradebook requires you to denote the standard, which ours does...PowerSchool. This workshop includes the work of Marzano, the 6-Step Process, Vocabulary Notebooks, the work of Beck & McKeown, and the creation of Text Talk lessons.
Fifty Shades of the Common Core - Part 2: Stretching All Readers to Read Comp...Jennifer Jones
In this presentation, I share with my staff the three factors in determining text complexity with classroom based examples of each, especially the qualitative measure that so heavily depends on digging deeper into anchor stands 4, 5, and 6 regarding Author's Craft. At Lake Myra, we also believe in making sure that ALL students (regardless of their instructional reading level) get at least one dose daily of reading in their grade level stretch band, and if that's different than their instructional level, then an additional scoop of instruction at their lower instructional level.
Fifty Shades of the Common Core for ELA: RevisedJennifer Jones
This is a revised version of my original Fifty Shades of the Common Core presentation. Slides 51-59 about text complexity are new based on a recent presentation I attended by Timothy Shanahan, one of the authors of the Common Core for ELA.
This is the presentation I did for the staff at my own elementary school (90 minutes). After this presentation, teachers felt they had the tools, strategies and conceptual understanding to move on with teaching "the Common Core way" not to mention motivation and empowerment. This presentation not only covers the anchor standards and strands of the Common Core for ELA, but emphasizes the 3 shifts in the Common Core that are vital for student success in school and life. Here is the hand-out that goes with it: http://goo.gl/gzUny
Beyond Question Stems: Critical Thinking in the 21st Century ClassroomJennifer Jones
I developed and delivered this presentation for South Mebane Elementary School in Alamance County. The focus was higher order thinking and critical thinking skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Language, Comprehension and Vocabulary standards were highlighted from the Common Core with a special emphasis on the 3 shifts of the Common Core for ELA.
How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
