Under EU-Peace Project organized by SRSP Prep: Syed Zahid Jan
Miskiney isone of the unioncouncil thatwas worsthitby militancyandextremismduringthe
wake of Talibanization. Miskiney is hilly area near the Pak Afghan border and that is why it
was affected the most. During PEACE project, special focus was on the mobilization of
communitiesof suchareasand streamlining them. With this intent, social capital formation
in the area is in full swing and after formation, the community members are given capacity
buildingtrainingsandLeadershipManagementSkill Trainingisone of these capacity building
events. The event was conducted in Hotel Green Hills Dir Upper.

Khan was chief guest on
the final dayof the event.
He distributed
certificates of the event
among the participants
and said in his closing
remarks that SRSP is
doing a wonderful job in
harnessing peoples’
potential and raising the
awareness level of
illiterate and
marginalized people.
One of the community
members expressed his
viewsonbehalf of all the
participantsand said that
they found the training
verymuch beneficial and
informative. He said that
sessions like human
rights and disaster risk
management were new
to us and all the
participants took keen
interest in the event.
