• The father of physical education is
Friedrich Jahn who was a teacher in the
early 1800s.
• He started with teaching a program of
outdoor physical education activities for
students in the secondary school where
he taught.
• He required specific uniform for his
students to allow unrestricted
movements.

• It is a subject taught in schools
around the world.

It is very important to
check the place you do
physical activities in.
grass is cut, no sharp
objects and there is
enough ventilation.
If you are a minor/old
age do it under the
supervisors guidance.
Wear appropriate
clothes including shoes
to protect you
Wear sunscreen and a
cap/hat to protect you
from the sun
Have enough water with
you.
