This short document contains three topics: geography, holiday, and homework. It lists three separate concepts or ideas but provides no further details about any of them.
The document summarizes the history and development of the internet. It describes how in the 1960s, computer networks were developed that allowed computers to share information, leading to the creation of the internet in the 1970s. In 1989, the world wide web was invented, allowing multimedia content and hyperlinks to be shared over the internet. The internet has grown enormously and is estimated to have over 2 billion users by 2020, providing both advantages like access to information from anywhere as well as disadvantages like privacy and security concerns.
This document provides information about coronavirus disease (COVID-19) transmission, prevention, and treatment. Some key points include:
1. Coronaviruses are transmitted between people through respiratory droplets from coughing, sneezing, and close contact. Common symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
2. The incubation period is typically 2-14 days. Most infected people will experience mild to moderate symptoms, while the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions are more likely to develop serious illness requiring hospitalization.
3. There is currently no vaccine, but research for a vaccine is underway. Treatment focuses on relieving symptoms, and those with serious illness may require hospitalization.

The internet is a worldwide network of computer networks that connects billions of devices. It was developed in the 1960s when computers were first connected to share information. By the 1970s, the term "internet" was used to describe the network of networks. The world wide web was invented in 1989, allowing users to access pictures, videos and other multimedia online. It is estimated that by 2020, over 30% of the world's population will be internet users. While it provides a quick way to access and share information globally, the internet also poses privacy and security risks.

Regulation greatly reduced air pollutionDeru R Indika
The EPA regulation under the Clean Air Act of 1990 led to sharp reductions in ozone and carbon monoxide levels in major US cities. Stricter fuel standards and requirements for vehicles and power plants to use cleaner technologies cut air pollution by over 60% based on EPA estimates. While the regulation imposed short-term costs estimated at $50 billion, the annual health and other benefits were projected to exceed $100 billion. To ease the transition for industry, the document recommends government support and subsidies for companies implementing the EPA rules.

Porter's five forces analysis shows competition is tight between many global and regional companies that differentiate through innovation, branding, and distribution. The top four companies, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Red Bull, and Hansen Natural Corporation, are described in terms of their product portfolios and competitive strategies in the alternative beverages market.
The document discusses the types and uses of technology in the classroom, including desktop computers, laptops, iPads, interactive whiteboards, and phones. It notes that technology can be used for instructional games, interactive problem solving, grouping students, and supplemental programs. The document argues that technology benefits students by accommodating different learning styles and enhancing the learning environment. It also emphasizes the importance of teachers receiving training to effectively integrate technology into their lessons.

RIM is a world leader in mobile communications that established in 1984. By 2008, RIM experienced explosive growth, with subscribers increasing from 8 million to 14 million. To maintain its competitive advantage, RIM believes R&D is key and should pursue strategies like increasing recruiting, expanding geographies, strategic acquisitions, and going global. Issues include how to maintain superiority and if current strategies are sufficient. RIM conducts external and internal analyses to understand its environment and resources. Externally, factors like regulations, economics, technology and legal issues impact RIM. Internally, RIM focuses on R&D and its culture. RIM forms alliances to capture new insights and experiences to increase its R&D capabilities
Cemex's aggressive global expansion through acquisitions led to a cash crunch as the company struggled with high debt from its acquisitions. The document discusses Cemex's history of acquisitions from the 1980s onwards that transformed it from a Mexican company into a global cement producer. However, the strategy of rapid expansion through acquisitions left the company highly leveraged, which caused financial difficulties when the economic recession hit in 2008.
