The photographer outlines plans for several photos for a magazine spread. The first photo will feature a model looking at the camera in black and white to convey a suppressed, dark impression. The second photo will be a contents page photo of a model with open arms to invite readers to a competition. The third photo will be a close-up of a model sitting to take up half the page while leaving space for an article. Additional photos include an outdoor photoshoot image of models dressed colorfully against a dark sky and research on magazine cover styles.

2. Photo 1
• My first photo is going to be an image of the
model, they are going to looking at the
camera but on an angle, i intend to turn the
image to black and white so the image looks
more suppressed and dark, but to give the
impression that the artist wants to get out of
the shadows of rock

4. Photo 2 contents
• My next photo is going to be my contents page
photo, this photo is going to be mixed with a
competition, to do this i want the model to stand with
their arms open (a “you mean me?”) expression which
allows the readers to want to enter the competiton to
meet and open kind of guy, i also kept the green screen
background on the image because i wanted the photo
to seem natural, even though it is posed, i wanted the
audience to feel that the model was down to earth and
so by inviting them into the actual photoshoot without
any editing, it would allow them to get in the feel with
the artist/model.

6. Photo 3 DPS
• For my double page spread photo i want my
model to be sat down, but the photo has to be
close, the model will take up half of the page, this
would leave me the other half for the article, i
wanted the model to sit down so that they give
an expression of normality, they are not fully
posing although they are looking towards the
camera, this also give the effect of being their
own person, because they are sat down and not
doing what the photographer asks, but they are
smiling for the camera, so stating they are taking
control over the photos.

7. Subject will be placed to the left or right of landscape frame so text can be put
on to the other side.

8. Poster image (small)
• The first poster image will be a photoshoot
photo, although it will be outdoor and the
models will not be participating in the
shoot, it is a naturalistic photo taken when
people are not paying attention. It will be shot
in the evening when then sky looks dark, but
the models will be dressed colourfully to show
the contrast of rock within the image.

18. For the research of my magazine
• For research purposes i have bought several
issues of kerrang magazine, i have taken photo’s
of the front cover although i used different
aspects of the magazine to influence my
own, kerrang always has a plug in the top right
hand side of the magazine, i decided to use the
plug in the right before i saw kerrang but after
analysing the front covers i found the best for my
photo style on the front cover would be in the
top right, with the plug off page at parts, just like
in the black veil brides issue (slide 10) the plug is
right in the corner.
