This photography shoot will take place on February 18th, 2014 at 9am to take photos of a girl for an indie music magazine. Photos will be taken around campus and in a photography studio using props like a guitar and sunglasses. Indoor studio photos aim for a plain white background to make the subject stand out, while outdoor photos will use natural light. Equipment needed includes casual clothing and props, and techniques like depth of field will be experimented with.

Photographs to be taken
The purpose of this photo shoot is for a music magazine. I will be taking
photographs of one girl who will be the face to an indie band.
My photo shoot will take place around college and in the photography
studio using props like a guitar and glasses.
My aim for the photographs in the studio is to look professional with a plain
white background so the girl stands out.

Casual, every day clothing and pops like a guitar, and sunglasses.
Techniques that will be used
I will be using depth of field with the background being blurred and the
foreground being clear. I will experiment with this using the manual settings
on the camera.

the trees and bushed in the background are blurry
How light quality can be used to help convey the visual message
Pictures taken outside will use natural light however pictures taken inside will
be using staged lighting. Its effective to take pictures outside if you want a
natural feeling to the photograph, but for pictures like the front cover, its
effective to use a photography studio where you can control the lighting.
Different locations will change the way the light exposes the photo.
Health and safety considerations
I will have to consider people will be careful with the wires and lights in the
photography studio in case anyone trips over the wires and injures
themselves.
