1. Magazine and Poster Photo Shoot
During our photo shoot, we took a lot of pictures and I’ve chosen
several that I may use in my Poster or Magazine cover.
2. For my poster -
I like this picture because of the dark costume, I feel like this adds a sense of
mystery and action. The only problem could be that she doesn’t look scared,
and the fact that the film is a horror may not be obvious if I used this image
for my poster. It could be more suited for the magazine cover.
3. This image is one of my favourites
seeing as the actress has her hair
covering most of her face, which is
something that unsettled us whilst we
were filming for the trailer, and I think
it could do the same to people who
view the poster. However, I plan on
having a dark poster and I feel that
most of the actress would be lost
because her face is covered, and it
would also lose it’s effectiveness at
looking eerie.
4. Whilst this image isn’t the most frightening, I feel that it could be edited to
look it. Because of the visible face, it would work best when I darken the image
in Photoshop. The only issue I have is that I would have preferred it if her eyes
were open wider as this seems to be a common theme in horror posters.
5. For my Magazine Cover -
This image is great for suggesting that either of the girls could be the
antagonist, seeing as Sarah (Morgan) has an evil/aggressive look on her face,
and Jade (Amy) is looking at Sarah with what appears to be malicious intent,
however I feel this image would be hard to place on a thin magazine cover.
6. I like the fact that in this poster, it may take a while to notice Amy in the background. As
well as that, Morgan appears to have a ‘knowing’ look, which suggests the two could be
working together. At the same time, Morgan also looks like she could be a victim due to
Amy being hidden. However, this image has the same issue as the last and is too wide
for a magazine cover.
7. Unlike the last two images, this one could fit
easily onto a magazine cover. I think having
her look directly at the audience is effective in
giving off an eerie feel. I prefer the images
where she has her hood up, however and I
will probably use the one from the first slide -
And add in Amy from another image.
