Editor's Notes

  1. the result of educating, as determined by the knowledge skill, or discipline of character, acquired; also, the act or process of training by a prescribed or customary course of study or discipline; as, an education for the bar or the pulpit; he has finished his education.
  2. Education -process of acquiring and teaching knowledge -Education in today world means getting a degree or being qualified for certain work. -Education on the other way is like you get knowledge from someone else. they give you knowledge which is hard to be self learned. you got the idea. -Education is something that you learn in books and with your teachers. It's something that you should do to get a good and job and pursue what you want in life. Philosphy.-Philosophy is rather abstract, as it becomes evident only in a persons behavior and lifestyle.-philosophy is a way of thinking, something you create yourself. some sayings or anything like that. it can be like you say, why is the grass greener it should have been something else. something beyond on what you learn in books. It's what you believe in life. Your principles and beliefs is what philosophy is. -A philosopher may or may not be educated and an educated man may or may not be a philosopher. A man doesn't need to be highly educated to be philosophical.-philosophy is something beyond on what you learn in books. It's what you believe in life. Your principles and beliefs is what philosophy is. -V
  3. 1. He uses the questioning method which is known as the Socratic method. This method works during a question-and-answer session.2. Besides that, he still using Socrates method but still focusing on his own ideas 3. It can be said that Aristotle’s works is like a virtual encyclopedia of Greek knowledge. Aristotle was truly the most knowledgeable scholar of his time.In conclusion..philosophers such as Socrates, plato and Aristotle are effective and good teachers in their own right.
  4. Peters is known particularly for his work in the philosophy of the education. However his early writings were occupied with psychology, more exactly with a philosophical view of psychological issues. Thus his research was in the areas motivation, emotions, personality as well as social behaviour and the relationship between reason and longing. Perhaps the most important work by Peters is "Ethics and Education”. With this and his subsequent publications he significantly influenced the development of the philosophy of education in Great Britain and world-wide. The influence was a result of his examination of the concept of education in the sense of analytic philosophy. Central tools thereby are term analysis. Peters explores two substantial aspects of the philosophy of education: the normative and the cognitive.Consciousness is determined by the socio-economic and political context, also by cultural conditioning through one's upbringing, education and religion. In other words, it is an inter-change between economic and cultural structures
