The document presents a project proposal for an electric vehicle transportation system for a university campus. The project aims to provide convenient transportation for students and faculty across the large campus. An Arduino UNO will be used to control an electric vehicle with sensors like an ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance. The project has completed literature reviews on electric vehicles and reviewed components like batteries. Future work includes adding security features and geo-fencing to restrict vehicle access. The goal is to file a patent and pitch the model to innovation competitions if the project is successful.

Rapidly increasing population, energy consumption, and the need to reduce emissions through the conventional vehicle have motivated researchers to study the electric hybrid vehicles EHVs . In normal scenario in INDIA in electric vehicles like E cabs and E cars conventional battery is used and the real drawback of conventional batteries is that it drained out fast when used with full capacity and rechargeable is time significantly high usually 7 to 8 hours. A large number of methods have already been already proposed by various researchers that can solve the problem, however, these systems were not efficient enough for draining out the charging in EV. In order to overcome the limitation rapid discharge and slow recharge supercapacitors can be very significant solution of this problems. Abstract
Our future depends upon the renewable energy sources. Since many years vehicles have relied on combustion fuel like oil and
diesel, which will create problem in near future as there are limited reserves of fossil fuels. Hence the most important fact is to
preserve energy. So, plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) is good and effective solution for eco-friendly transportation system.
Therefore, in this paper a plug-in hybrid vehicle approach is presented along with portable solar panel mounted on it to charge
battery. As solar panel is less efficient, a new technique called external light trapping is presented. A 3D printed parabolic
concentrator is used for this purpose. It redirects reflected photons back to solar cells and hence due to multiple reflections its
power conversion efficiency increases. If in any case, battery run out of charge then to charge it mobile chargers (MC) are used.
An android application is developed to support PHEV mobility. It provides full support to driver through its various functions like
monitoring of battery, prediction of range it can travel with current battery state and its location. The mobile server based on
queuing approach determines design parameter for such mobile charging system. An NJN (nearest-job-next) strategy is used to
serve this purpose. In NJN, MC serves next closest PHEV when its current job is done. Moreover, driver can reserve charging slot
based on their availability. So, in short our main purpose is to reduce carbon dioxide emission and mitigate PHEV driver range
anxiety problem.

Consumers, who wish to contribute to green mobility are concerned about the limited availability of charging points due to high manufacturing costs and the interoperability issues related to smart charging. This work proposes an internet of things-based low-cost, interoperable smart electric vehicle supply equipment for deploying in all charging stations. The device hardware is designed to monitor, analyze, and collect consumed energy by the vehicle and transfer this data to a connected network. The pre-defined messages associated with the firmware will help to record this data with a remote management server for further processing. The messages are defined in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), which helps to overcome the interoperability issue. The device is smart because it can gather energy usage, detect device faults, and be intimate with the controller for a better operational environment. The associated management servers and mobile applications help to operate the smart device remotely and keep track of the usage statics. The developed low-cost, interoperable smart model is most suitable for two and three-wheeler vehicles.

Electric vehicle (EV) has gained incredible interest from the past two decade
as one of the hopeful greenhouse gasses solution. The number of Electric
Vehicle (EV) is increasing around the world; hence that making EVs user
friendly becomes more important. The main challenge in usage of EV is the
charging time required for the batteries used in EV. As a consequence, this
subject matter has been researched in many credentials where a wide range
of solutions have been proposed. However those solutions are in nature due
to the complex hardware structure. To provide an unswerving journey
an Android application based charging optimization is proposed.
This application is aimed at giving relevant information about the EV’s
battery state of charge (SOC), accurate location of the EV, booking of the
charging slots using token system and route planner. At emergency
situations, an alternative service is provided by mobile charging stations.
Route planner indicates the temperature by which prediction of reaching the
destination can be done. In addition to that nearest places such as parks,
motels are indicated. The estimated time and distance between the electric
vehicle and the charging station is calculated by the charging station server
according to which the parking lot is allocated. Vehicle to charging station
communication is established for the time estimation of charging. This will
help the EV users to know about charge status and charging station, which
support fast charging method and availability of the station on the go
and also when to charge their EV. The Arduino UNO board has been used
for the hardware part. The hardware results are confirming the conceptual of
the proposed work.

The project is based on the working of electric vehicles. Arduino UNO is used to
control this vehicle along with different components and sensors such as esp32 Wi-
Fi/Bluetooth module and ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance. This project is a
stepping stone to creating a bigger electric vehicle to solve the problem of
transportation on university campuses for students as well as faculty members. If
this project reaches its success, then it will also be integrated as a transportation
system for the rest of other universities, and as street transportation. Convenient

[1] A Statistical Approach to Opportunities and Challenges in the EV-Mobility
for India
In this paper, it is mentioned that Electrical Vehicles are being made
mandatory in many countries and India hopes to accomplish this feat by
2030. Out of the many problems like charging infrastructure, range
anxiety, and cost, the main hurdle to be considered is the raw materials
required for the battery. The 2W segment looks promising in India
compared to other markets owing to a lot of reasons. Few major players

[2] A Comprehensive Study of Key Electric Vehicle (EV) Components,
Technologies, Challenges, Impacts, and Future Direction of Development
This paper discusses Electric vehicles (EV), including Battery Electric vehicles (BEV),
Hybrid Electric vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV), and Fuel Cell
Electric vehicles (FCEV), are becoming more commonplace in the transportation sector
in recent times. As the present trend suggests, this mode of transport is likely to replace
internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles shortly. Each of the main EV components has
several technologies that are currently in use or can become prominent in the future.
EVs can cause significant impacts on the environment, power system, and other related
sectors. The present power system could face huge instabilities with enough EV
penetration, but with proper management and coordination, EVs can be turned into a
major contributor to the successful implementation of the smart grid concept. There are
possibilities of immense environmental benefits as well, as the EVs can extensively
reduce the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the transportation sector. However,
there are some major obstacles for EVs to overcome before totally replacing ICE

6. LITERATURE REVIEW
[3] A technology review paper for drives used in the electrical vehicle (EV) &
hybrid electrical vehicles (HEV)
This paper talks about how the pollution of the environment is increasing to the
very large number of conventional vehicles present today. To reduce pollution
electric and hybrid electric vehicles are very beneficial. As the decade of low-cost
fuel is coming to an end electric vehicle or hybrid electric vehicle is a good
alternative to national vehicles. These electric vehicles are driven by an electric
motor that may be AC or DC fed by a battery through the electric converter. The
various drives used for the EVs & HEVs are discussed in this paper. The main two
types of drive based on the supply are used DC or AC drive. The AC drives
consisting of a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) are the
most popular amongst them. The other widely used drives are the three-phase
Induction motor (IM), Switched reluctance motor (SRM), and the Brushless DC
motor (BLDC). These motors are fed by different power electronic converters such
as DC-DC converters, and DC- AC converters per the supply requirements.
7. PROBLEM STATEMENT
In our university, students face difficulty when they try to move from one point to
another across the university and this is because the university campus is so vast
therefore the EV vehicle will be the perfect solution to handle this situation.
Industries use manual forklifts which poses a great threat to the lives of Forklift
operators when the consignment is extremely heavy, and any mishap can cause a loss
of death. To tackle this issue, we can use an automated transportation vehicle to
deliver goods from one point to another point in a factory.
At last, it also may be used in street/cities transportation systems which will aid the
movement of people and even goods from one point to another destination or from
one street to another.
8. OBJECTIVES
The ultimate objective of this individual project is to
