What’s a PF-TEK? Materials you’ll

A crystal jar or glass (240 ml
aprox).
You can choose bigger recipents
but we recommend you to start
with a small one.

A pressure cooker
A cake rack

1/2 VERMICULITE

Preparation of the jar
Let’s make the substrate

Make sure it’s clean
Make sure the bowl is’s clean
Add the vermiculite
Add some water and mix it
Add more water and mix
Add the brown rice flour and mix it
You can choose as
cover the jar cover or
aluminum foil.
If you’re going to use
the jar cover, make
five holes in it like
these.
If you’re going to
use aluminum foil
as cover, cut two
layers.

Fill the jar
Sterilization 7
Add the substrate
to the jar using a
clean fork or spoon.
Cover the jar with aluminum
foil. if you’re not using a jar
cover, cover it with three alu-
minum layers.
Put the cake rack in the pressure cooker.
Put the jar over it and fill the pressure
cook with water to 1cm under the edge
of the jar.
Clean the edge of the jar with
an alcohol wipe and cover it,
Heat the pressure
cooker slowly and
wait for it to reach
the right pressure
Let it steam for
45-60 minutes
and then turn off
the fire.
Leave the jars in the pan to
cool off. his can take an
entire night. Wait at least
five hours.
Add a final layer of vermiculite.

6. 8 Inoculation
Wash your hands and your work place with desinfectant and wear the mask and
gloves on.
Remove the foil from the jar cover or the top layer if
you’re using aluminum foil as cover.
Take your spore syringe and heat the
needle till it’s red hot
HOP!

7. Stab the jar Press slowly
While pressing, slowly
move the needle out
to the jar.
Remember to heat
and cool the needle
after every insertion
if you’re working
with bigger jars or
more jars.

8. Put your jar in a dark warm air current-free place

27ºC
x4 WEEKS OK!
WRONG
A white fluff appears
Nothing appears.
Something went wrong.
Restart and good luck!

Cultivation
Remove the cover
Remove the top
vermiculite layer
with a sterile fork
Empty the jar over
a clean dish. Hit it
gently till the cake
falls.
Put the cake in a tupper and the tupper in
the bag. Spray some water and close the
bag.
Clean!
Wear mask and
gloves!
And let the magic grow!
