6. When he [Jesus] had finished speaking, he
said to Simon, "Put out into deep water,
and let down the nets for a catch." Simon
answered, "Master, we've worked hard all
night and haven't caught anything. But
because you say so, I will let down the
nets." When they had done so, they caught
such a large number of fish that their nets
began to break.

7. So they signaled their partners in the other
boat to come and help them, and they
came and filled both boats so full that they

water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got
out of the boat, started walking on the
water, and came toward Jesus. But
when he noticed the strong wind, he
became frightened, and beginning to
sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”

13. Jesus immediately reached out his hand
and caught him, saying to him, “You of little
faith, why did you doubt?
When they got into the boat, the wind
ceased. And those in the boat worshiped
him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of
God.”
