The document discusses conducting a PESTLE analysis to expand a business internationally into China. It analyzes the political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental factors in China. Politically, China has single-party leadership and can impose decisions without negotiation. Economically, China has high growth but challenges in beef production. Socially, China faces issues like an aging population but beef is accepted. Technologically, China invests in research but implementation issues remain. Legally, policies attract investment but weak enforcement is a risk. Environmentally, China has land and forests but also pollution issues. Overall, the analysis finds China a favorable potential market.

This revision presentation provides an overview of the topic of emerging markets. It highlights some examples of how businesses have pursued a growth strategy in emerging markets and also how developed economies have seen investment coming in the opposite direction. A brief overview of the methods and benefits/drawbacks of international expansion is also provided.

In 2022, the plant-based meat and seafood retail industry generated $6.1 billion in global
sales, growing eight percent by dollars and five percent by weight. Combined plant-based milk,
cheese, and yogurt hit $21.6 billion on the global stage, up seven percent from 2021. Amid
challenging macroeconomic and market conditions, this rapidly evolving industry made major
strides across the areas of science, sustainability, and public and private sector support. As
consumer engagement with, and interest in, plant-based proteins increases around the world,
retailers and manufacturers are leaning in, introducing new products, developing strategic
partnerships, and building new production facilities. Public sector participation is also
increasing, with more governments around the world investing in plant-based proteins as a
research and commercialization priority.
Underlying risks in the global economy have not abated and there is still good reason to be worried about the future growth prospects of large economies. This was the clear message from IMF’s second bi-annual outlook released in October 2013. We cover this in the section on Global Trends in this month’s issue of Economy Matters.
In the section on Domestic Trends, we discuss the trends emanating out of the recent releases on Current Account, IIP and Inflation during the month of October 2013.
The Sectoral spotlight for this issue is on Food Processing, which has shown robust performance in the recent years owing to factors such as growing per capita income, large availability of raw materials, changing lifestyles, and conducive government policies.
In the Special Article, we discuss the key drivers and reasons behind high food inflation plaguing the economy currently.

Overview of cultivated meat
Cultivated meat, also known as cultured meat, is genuine animal meat (including seafood and organ meats) that is produced by cultivating animal cells directly. This production method eliminates the need to raise and farm animals for food.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. PESTLE stands for Political, Economical, Social, Technological,
Legal & Environmental. These are the factors which need to be
considered while expanding business nationally or Internationally.
PESTLE Analysis is a simple technique which can be used in a fairly
sophisticated way, particularly when it is combined with Risk
Analysis, SWOT Analysis and expert knowledge about the
organisation and its external factors. PESTLE Analysis is normally
used to help organisations identify and understand the external
environment in which they operate and how it will operate in the
future. I believe that a version of PESTLE Analysis can be used by
the individual for personal development planning.
Here we are using this technique to expand our business
Internationally.

makes it an ideal location for expansion of our
business.

Population is one of the biggest problem with China however
after adopting the one child policy, the growth rate of
population has fallen down.
But every policy has its side effects, adopting one child
policy has raised another problem “Aging Population”.
Another reason for this is increased life expectancy.
One of the biggest challenges for China is the Gender
Imbalance with male to female ratio of 128:100.
Being one of the booming economy in the world, the decline

9. Technological overview of China
China has many R & D institutions which make them very
well equipped for advanced research.
Chinese people don’t want to enter the field of research
because of the low compensation and no incentives.
Another drawback in Chinese R & D, Government
interference in R & D with week enforcement of cyber law.
Funding for R & D is very non optimal.
Special Economic zone have been created for R & D centers.

There are two ways of Slaughtering equipments, first one is
very crude which has a poor quality & utilization ability for
beef cattle.
Second slaughtering equipments is advanced the
slaughtering ability is very strong, but the beef cattle is fall
short of demand, which make these advanced equipment in
a shutdown condition in most time.
Quality of Chinese beef product is low because of the
processing method.
There is one technology named beef acid which refers to
carry out the quarantine system and cooling processes
rapidly of carcass after slaughtering. The Chinese technician
should learn the production process, western beef products
processing method.

Political involvement in legal matters is also another
important factor for future risks.
China has a developed and organized judiciary.
Because of a week implementation of corporate laws
companies are not in effective compliance.

To export frozen meat and poultry products to chine,
certification is required. FSIS form 9060-5 and form 9295-1
are the certificates related to meat and poultry products.
