It is very scary that a known fatal substance is so readily available in today's society. A lot of people
like to relax with a drink of alcohol; however, it can cause many serious problems for others who
start to become dependent on it.
Alcohol is a very addictive substance and therefore can start to play a larger role in people's lives.
Alcohol is used in many different environments, from intense ranging parties, concerts, festivals,
small family get–togethers and even drinking on your own to have a relaxing night after work.
Many see no issues in having a casual beer here and there, although when we look at some of the
stats we can clearly see that alcohol is causing some major issues in our society. Research estimates
a whopping 86 percent of Americans will drink at some point in their lives and 70 percent drink at
least once per year. This shows that alcohol is present in many Americans lives, and thus from that
starting point an addiction can spawn. It only takes one time for someone to gain an addiction to a
substance. Therefore, as it is a legal drug it's very hard to recognize if someone has an addiction
problem. So, why is it important that we stay on the look out for a loved one or friend who may be
suffering from alcoholism?

world is different but they all have some form of punishment. One other example would be lying
to a teacher, someone with a position of authority in a school. A student can lie about the reason
they were late to class to the old "my dog ate my homework" excuse. This kind of lying is very
difficult for the person telling the lie, because it involves telling someone who is in a position of
authority what he or she wants to hear. The student lying doesn't tell the truth to avoid
unnecessary conflict and it is studied that always telling the truth leads to more bad than good.
Another example would be those who lie to a police officer or any person related to the law. You
could tell him or her you didn't murder your algebra teacher just because you hate math but you
actually did or you could be selling drugs and telling them you aren't. If you do it once whose to
say you won't do it again? These things are very serious as well as having serious consequences. So
just tell them the truth. At the very least you'll feel better without the heavy burden of knowing that

In today's society, suicide can be a multifaceted issue, sometimes an act of heroism, selfishness,
love, or a brave choice. I am arguing against suicide because it is not a solution to a problem, it
should not even be included as an option. Suicide is simply defined as "the deliberate taking of
one's own life, usually the result of a psychiatric disorder, although sometimes deliberated in the face

Do you have a passion, something you love to do more than anything? Imagine people trying to
stop you from doing what you love because they think it's not useful or a waste. Some people say
competitive sports cost too much and they are way too dangerous for young kids to participate in.
However, for many youth, competitive sports play a positive role. When kids play competitive
