Ravi Panchal presents on the importance of global warming and its potential impacts. Global warming could cause drastic weather changes like hurricanes and rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and diseases. It may also lead to ozone layer depletion, deforestation, and other environmental issues. Resolutions like reducing emissions through recycling, public transportation, and renewable energy can help prevent these problems and ensure future generations can live peacefully if changes are made.
The presentation aims at explaining the phenomenon of climate change and global warming and the chemistry and physic behind. How is global warming affects the climate? what are the reasons of global warming? the presentation reveals the science behind.
Final slideshow from the Climate School in Narvik, Norway. Marina Kaitalidou, a gifted student at the Climate School, has made this slideshow and was making the final lecture based on this slideshow. Enjoy.
A decent presentaion on global warming
the temprature slide is a video .Plays in powerpoint and wps ppt .Except powerpoint 7
if it still does not plays leave your email in comment section i will mail as soon as possible

Climate is the average weather over a long period and we expect it to remain relatively constant. CC is the single biggest long-term problem we face - the evidence is overwhelming. CC is a far greater threat to the world than international terrorism.
CC is not science fiction……and will soon prove to be a dead-end road for everyone. The key is actually discarding the idea that in order for a country to get rich, stay rich and get richer, you have to put more GHG in the atmosphere. That isn't true and it hasn't been true for years….. If we don't deal with this immediately, we will have island nations flooded; agricultural balance of most countries completely changed; a dramatic increase in the number of severe, unmanageable weather events and epidemic of unknown diseases. Our natural environment is very important in the aspects of peace because when we destroy our resources and our resources become scarce, we fight over that hastening CC.
Sustainability - What's wrong with a little climate change? Anders Lindgren
You may have heard about the dangers of “global warming and climate change”. It’s like old news. It hardly get you concerned. Well, there are some recent findings. Our Earth is getting warmer, wetter, wilder and more crowded than ever. It's scaring the hell out of scientists.

Hello. Today I am going to present on the threats to the global environment. The four threats that I chose are shown in slide two.
1
Four Threats to the Global Environment that I chose
Climate Change
Energy Sources
In-appropriate use of technology
Globalization
The reason I chose these factors is because there has been an increase in climate change nowadays. Weather patterns have become unpredictable and thus posing a threat to the environment. Additionally, there has been increase in sources of energy used today. Some have lead to emissions which affect the environment globally. Also, technology is being widely used and inappropriate use is affecting the environment. The last one is about globalization and how it has made the universe to be a small village. People can move from one region to another within a short period.
2
Climate Change
The history of climate change started in the 19th century when it was first suspected of ice ages and other natural changes (Varallyay, 2010).
That was the first time when the greenhouse effect was identified.
Climate change has been affecting the global environment since it has been causing global warming.
Global warming is being experienced in the world from the North to the South Pole.
It has been observed that the surface temperatures have increased by more than 1.6 degrees Celsius globally(Varallyay, 2010).
In the polar regions, the increase is more.
Thus goes in line with United Nation’s selection and prioritization of goals. This is because global warming is a global problem that needs to be given the necessary attention yo eliminate potential impacts (Varallyay, 2010). For instance , to prevent rise in surface temperatures.
3
Countries that have been affected mostly by climate change and the ways in which they have been Affected.
1 Japan
Japan has a climate risk index of 5.5
It has been affected by heat waves, heavy rains, Jebi typhoons, and the Osaka earthquake in 2018 (Tobon et al., 2010).
This made Japan be the most threatened country.
Around 1282 deaths were caused by weather, and this led to economic losses.
The gross domestic product of Japan collapsed by 0.64%.
It is very important to come up with ways of dealing with heavy rains, waves and earthquakes when they occur (Tobon et al., 2010). This goes in line with selection and prioritization of goals by United Nations. The goal here is to reduce deaths caused by such adverse events.
4
2 Philippines
The climate risk index of the Philippines was 11.17.
More than 250,000 people were affected by the Typhoon Mangkhut that passed through Philippines (Sharma et al., 2009).
Torrential rainfall led to 59 deaths.
A total of 455 deaths were recorded in the Philippines in2018.
Economic losses were also high to the tune of $ 454 ...
Period # 3 - Ravi Panchal - Global Warming? Global Warning!
1. Global Warming? Global Warning! A presentation by: Ravi Panchal Northeast High School Magnet Program (School and SLC)
2. Importance of Global Warming Global warming: Became interested in this topic in Chemistry class. Perhaps keep me from seeing my grandchildren. Decay of human race. Will global warming keep me from living a peaceful life?
3. What will happen because of Global Warming? Drastic weather changes (Simmons) Decay of the ozone layer (Earth’s Protection Shield is Being Destroyed – Ozone Depletion and Global Warming) Deforestation leading to bad air (Oak) The world coming to an end
4. Weather Changes Infections diseases Melting ice caps Hurricanes Rise in the amount of fires (Tennesen) (WebQuest: Hurricanes) (A Message from Mother Earth?) (Forest Fires)
5. Ozone Layer Depletion Stratosphere is affected. Protects the inhabitants in the earth from ultraviolet-B radiation (UV-B radiation). Individuals become vulnerable to skin cancer.
6. Deforestation Cutting down trees Water cycle affected Carbon dioxide levels increase Human and animals oxygen supply reduced (Oak)
7. Resolutions Recycle Other sources of transportation Carpooling, public transportation, walk Other sources for power Wind machines, solar panels, hydropower (David and Gordon) (Effect of climate change on our environment recycling benefits) (How Solar Panels Work)
8. Changes need to be made Use substitutes Different things can be used for other things Change light bulbs to florescent (Earth Day Tips: 7 Easy Ways to Conserve Energy and Save Money)
9. Global Warmings Importance Could cause the end of the Earth. Resolutions can be taken in order to prevent this infection disease from happening. Smallest change can make a big difference.
