The paper analyzes the Neighbor-Weight Trust Determination (NWTD) algorithm designed for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) to effectively detect and isolate malicious nodes. Through simulation using the MANET simulator (MANSIM), the NWTD algorithm shows reliability in trust determination by averaging the trust levels of one-hop neighbors and employing master nodes for assessing new node trustworthiness. Results indicate it's a promising mechanism for enhancing the security and stability of MANETs against attacks from malicious nodes.
