The peer response discusses potential dissemination strategies for spreading evidence-based interventions in healthcare practice. The peer favors using social media and press releases as the most effective strategies. Social media could reach billions of people and press releases distributed through trusted news outlets could also achieve wide visibility. The peer views email and poster presentations as less effective strategies. Emails are easily ignored and posters are static in one location. The peer also addresses barriers to the preferred strategies, such as lack of privacy on social media, and proposes solutions like private accounts. Political divisions could undermine press conferences, but choosing words carefully and reliable news outlets could overcome this.

Audience Analysis
The instructor is critical in understanding that I conduct extensive research on the topic. Therefore, essential items should not be missed in the presentation as proof of extensive research. The details about the point son the safety of the patients while in the hands of the nurses should be conspicuous. This includes supporting the points with peer research articles. The use of graphics and data on the topic of discussion is a crucial enhancer to cementing the presentation. The presentation should also have points touching on three key aspects, pathos, ethos, and logos. This is because eliciting emotions in the audience brings relevance to the issue. This means the presentation must not lack the arguments for, arguments against, and the position statement. By bringing out these aspects, the instructor will be impressed that the desired amount of research was dedicated to the discussion topic.
One of the critical ingredients to impressing my peers is recognizing them and their contributions and arguments on the topic. I believe that my contributions to the case resemble their contributions. Thus, I will explain how my presentation improves or adds more value to what a few have mentioned by specifying the individuals with their names. The use of statistics and research findings from published articles with relevant graphics makes them believe. Touching on their emotions is also vital. I will use ethos; here, I will include a recent development in patient care and safety that is beneficial to them as individuals. I will get relevant statistics and graphical presentations for logos to bring the imagery to their minds. For pathos, I will cite information pertinent to the topic from reputable scholars that prove my points are from peer-reviewed sources.

Lesson 1: Writing Professional Messages
Introduction
We all communicate through formal and informal channels in various situations, and each mode
of communication can be more or less rich in its ability to send information effectively. For
example, consider the best channel to send messages such as a company announcement or a
letter of resignation. Messages such as these should be written and sent through a formal channel
so that the sender receives the notification, and a record of the notification can be retained.
Writing Professional Messages
Writing professional messages involves four steps:
a. planning the message,
b. organizing the message,
c. writing the message, and
d. proofreading the message.
Before writing a message, careful planning is a necessity. In advance, it must be determined who
the audience is, what feedback is expected, and what outcomes are expected.
Planning Your Message
What is the purpose of the message? Is the message designed to persuade others to take action or
simply share information? Additionally, will the message achieve its purpose if part of the
process is to explain a difficult concept? In every case, part of the planning is to consider if
writing a message is the best way to communicate or whether it would be better to deliver the
message through another medium, perhaps orally.
Once the reason for writing the message is clear, the next step is to determine the support needed
to make and refine each point until it is very specific. Part of this process is to consider the best
methods that will ensure the message will be successful. For example, if the message is asking
for changes to be made, ensure that the timing is right for such a move. Is it practical to ask for
the company to spend money at this time? For example, if the message asks for the purchase of
more equipment, part of the planning must be an analysis of whether or not the timing is right
and if the company can afford to make such a purchase. If the company is experiencing a
financial downturn, then the message will be a waste of time and might even be viewed as
presumptuous or the presenter as out of touch with current trends in the company’s financial
status.
The planning for any message must always consider the people who will read the message. If the
message is going to only a select few people in the local community, it will be worded

1-In having an idea on improving patient care and wanting to approach upper management for support, one could approach management using the following communications tools. Prior to approaching upper management with a quality improvement idea using oral communication, one would have to conduct research on the topic gathering all facts and necessary data. One could reach out to upper management using written business communication via e-mail requesting a meeting to present the idea (GCU, 2018). The e-mail should be clear, short, and concise containing a brief explanation stating the reason for the meeting in which one will briefly present the quality improvement idea, background information and the importance of why action and support is needed, including how this will improve patient outcomes (GCU, 2018).
During the initial meeting with upper management, one would use both verbal communication, and technology, by the use of a PowerPoint presentation, in order to gain support (GCU, 2018) all while trying to remain calm and focused while speaking in front of a group. The PowerPoint presentation should include the objectives of the idea/project, any supported data based on evidence-based practice, what the idea consists of and why it would improve patient care, the support and/or funds required, and projected patient and financial outcomes.
It may take a few meetings prior to management agreeing with the project. They may come back at you with different ideas and/or suggestions of how one should proceed, however if you believe in your project you will choose your battles and hold firm on aspects of the project that you believe to be true. We must not forget that we work on the unit, we know the staff, we know the routine, and we know what is, and what is not being done on the unit.

2-Effective communication is essential for understanding and interpreting information, perceptions, and meaning from person to person (Huber, 2014). When proposing an idea to upper management to support and fund, the style of communication will need to be direct and strategic for your vision to be seriously considered. After researching your audience and preferred style of presentation, you will develop the proper medium for your presentation to be most effective. Strategic planning and a written plan are used to determine how to maximize the delivered message (Huber, 2014). Many people choose to do a powerpoint presentation, utilize visual boards, or make handouts that will allow the management to share your vision. Benefits to using a visual medium will be that management will have a clear idea of what you are proposing and will be able to take home and ponder the issue. Reflective Process
Gibbs reflective cycle offers many of the steps I find necessary to diagnose, rationalize and perceive outcomes in my decision making. It is my utilization of these 6 interests that allows me to first question an experience, associate my involvement, outline relative options, make deductions on capacity and approximate expectancies as they relate to improvement/sustainability of outcomes (EPM, 2019).
My strengths and weaknesses are correlations of one another and can often be classified as my need to utilize both clinical and statistical approaches (Ruscio, 2006).The problem is that I want to believe despite actual proof, in some methods of pseudoscience but on the other hand, I find myself critiquing various works based on merit, research and the application study *. Division of these practices can become hard when approaching both, professional and interpersonal concerns based on how the concern is derived. This in return could prove costly on a reliability front (Ruscio, 2006). Developing a governance to my approach where I can question my own work as well as they work of others while practicing the skills obtained for study and research is my ultimate goal. I feel as though our introduction into psychology has established a structure within us all that stands to improve the methods developed, utilized and appropriated. I want to be a part of a generation where I can be told that this is a misdiagnosis and be offered support in determine the correct methods of treatment. Being overconfidence has driven many of our fields research and study and must be accountable when necessary if it stands to negatively affect those treated or studied (Ruscio, 2006).
Self reflection
Remembering to evaluate myself is a good place to start given the barriers overconfidence can create in any individual (Ruscio, 2006). In many cases, perfection is not the goal but growth and improvement are acceptable. In many professions, I believe one can be bolstered by position alone and this can be dangerous to the importance to the professional and their patient's needs. Continued education and a development of periodic evaluation can help me personally understand my own development and how I can better affect the outcomes in my decisions (EPM, 2019). Remaining open to criticism and change also aids in the realization that I, too, am human and require development much like the individuals I assist.

Advocating for new policies is an important aspect of the master’s-prepared nurse. For new policies to be compelling they need to be supported by evidence. Supporting data can be used to illustrate why new policies and interventions are needed to help address a specific health issue. Compelling data can help sway the stakeholders and gain support for your policy.
Another aspect of advocacy is disseminating new policies and interventions outside of the immediate care environment. This can be done by reaching out to professional organizations as well as academic and professional journals. A letter to the editor is one strategy for disseminating information to a wider audience, and to potentially enlist support throughout the wider professional community.
By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria:
Competency 1: Design evidence-based advanced nursing care for achieving high-quality population outcomes.
Evaluate the current state of the quality of care and outcomes for a specific issue in a target population.
Justify why a developed policy will be vital in improving the quality of care and outcomes for a specific issue in a target population.
Competency 2: Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of interprofessional interventions in achieving desired population health outcomes.
Analyze the ways in which interprofessional aspects of a developed policy will support efficient and effective achievement of desired outcomes for the target population.
Competency 3: Analyze population health outcomes in terms of their implications for health policy advocacy.
Analyze how the current state of the quality of care and outcomes for a specific issue in a target population necessitates health policy development and advocacy.
Advocate for policy development in other care settings with regard to a specific issue in a target population.
Competency 4: Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, in an appropriate form and style, consistent with organizational, professional, and scholarly standards.
Communicate in a professional and persuasive manner, writing content clearly and logically with correct use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

1. “Let’s Stop HIV Together” is a communication campaign (from the readings, on CDC’s site). It is an anti-
stigma campaign featuring individuals with HIV who share their personal stories along with friends and family.
It promotes a call to Americans to join the fight against HIV. How would a health educator apply the concept of
segmentation from communications campaigns to an intervention? Explain three specific examples of how
you think segmentation could be applied to this campaign to ensure relevance of the message.
2. Your health office wants to develop a program like CDC’s “One Test. Two Lives.” It is a communication
campaign (from the readings, on CDC’s site) to encourage health care providers to test pregnant women for
HIV infection. You are not sure whether the CDC program is applicable to your community. You decide to

Becoming a good writer is a challenging and continuous process that need to constantly improving your writing skills in different area as same as constructive reflection for identification of both progress and directions for further development. My writing competence has improved significantly during the ten weeks of English 3001 Writing Proficiency course in such areas as grammar, use of verb tenses, and content quality.
The most serious problems I faced in writing process previously were grammar issues and poor content of the essays. To be more precise, I used to lack empirical competence in proper use of verb tenses. My confusions of tense forms destroyed all the sense of the essay, and often improper sentence structure made the result of the writing process insufficient to meet the University Writing Skills Requirements. Initially, when I tried to improve my skills in the given area, I only paid attention to the highlighted mistakes and comments of the tutor. Nonetheless, I realized it was not enough. Therefore, I changed this strategy to a more constructive one. To be more precise, I started reading more books in English and wrote essays diverse topics apart from the course tasks. It was an effective type of training since in several weeks my essays revealed particular progress which I took into consideration and continued.
I realize that it does not suffice to finally meet the University Writing Skills Requirements since this is only a fraction of real competence in writing. The next step of self-improvement the given sphere is editing that also has numerous issues and challenges to be dealt with. It means that there are two domains within the notion of writing competence, and both of them have no limits and require constant self-improvement. Therefore, my goal to meet academic requirements is only one more step in the course of acquisition of linguistic competence and capacity to master English in terms of writing essays and academic papers.
Moreover, I know that currently I need to focus more on content issues, persuasive capacity and proper use of diverse materials employed to support evidence which are crucial elements of writing papers per University requirements. On the other hand, I see that all the core problems with linguistic competence which I have faced earlier, are solved, which means that I need to focus on further self-improvement and keep constructive work in order to achieve my next targets in the field of concern. Furthermore, I have considerable progress in such important dimensions of academic paper construction as thesis development, use of testimony and personal observations, and alignment of different ideas into a coherent, justified and credible academic entity. Now I do not permit run-ons, excessive use of articles or comma splices to emerge in my works. It means that flaws of basic and medium level are dealt with, and further self-de.

NURS 6052 – Essentials of Evidence-Based Practice
Week 11 Initial Post
Creating a Culture of Evidence-Based Practice
Evidence-based practice (EBP) in its most simplistic form is using the evidence, whether from clinical experiences or patient preferences, to make decisions that affect patient care positively (Polit & Beck, 2017). Evidence-based practice is essential for determining changes in practice that are needed to protect and provide safe care for patients. Nurses are the front-line of the healthcare system and are able to recognize and change policies and procedures. Therefore, nurses are responsible for sharing with their peers and co-workers the information obtained from their evidence-based research.
In order to make evidence-based changes, a dissemination plan needs to be in place. In our facility, our evidence-based practice nurse committee is responsible for teaching the staff on changes in practice. Once they have decided on the changes they present the information to the Emergency Department leadership. From there the changes are reported to the nursing staff through department meetings, bulletin boards, and online learning modules. This is based on the ACE Star Model of Knowledge Transformation which seeks to take research findings and use them to impact patient outcomes by using evidence-based care (Polit & Beck, 2017).
“Often in the dissemination phase, there are considerable barriers that exist. These barriers consist of prejudice toward findings, lack of approval from leadership, nurses attitudes, and the resources needed to make changes. Moore & Tierney (2019) found,
“an overarching theme of disconnection between research and evidence and the participants’ perceptions of contemporary nursing practice was underpinned by three themes:
1) We should be using it… but we’re not.
2) Employees suggested that research involvement was something left after graduation and no longer part of their day-to-day roles.
3) Research is other people’s business (p. 90).
In another report, it was suggested that evidence-based practice is challenging for nurses because of the pressures of a patient satisfaction culture and time constraints when caring for patients (Henderson & Fletcher, 2015). These barriers can only be overcome if nursing leadership has the courage to address them and help nurses see the positive benefits of evidence-based practice.
A culture of change is vital to making a significant improvement in the lives of patients. At this time nursing researchers are limited by a non-existent research culture leaving them nurses with the responsibility to develop that culture (Berthelsen & Holge-Hazelton, 2018). Creating an awareness of the research that is taking place by their peers removes the barriers of feeling not competent to participate. As nursing leadership, our role is to build a culture that creates curiosity and critical reflection ab.

Before you begin this assignment, be sure you have read the Small Merchant Guide to Safe
Payments documentation from the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)
organization. PCI Data Security Standards are established to protect payment account data
throughout the payment lifecycle, and to protect individuals and entities from the criminals who
attempt to steal sensitive data. The PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) applies to all entities
that store, process, and/or transmit cardholder data, including merchants, service providers, and
financial institutions.
Purpose of this Assignment
You work as an Information Technology Consultant for the Greater Washington Risk Associates
(GWRA) and have been asked to write a professional memo to one of your clients as a follow-up
to their recent risk assessment (RA). GWRA specializes in enterprise risk management for state
agencies and municipalities. The county of Anne Arundel, Maryland (the client) hired GWRA to
conduct a risk assessment of Odenton, Maryland (a community within the Anne Arundel
County), with a focus on business operations within the municipality.
This assignment specifically addresses the following course outcome to enable you to:
• Identify ethical, security, and privacy considerations in conducting data and information
analysis and selecting and using information technology.
Assignment
Your supervisor has asked that the memo focus on Odenton’s information systems, and
specifically, securing the processes for payments of services. Currently, the Odenton Township
offices accept cash or credit card payment for the services of sanitation (sewer and refuse),
water, and property taxes. Residents can pay either in-person at township offices or over the
phone with a major credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa). Over the
phone payment involves with speaking to an employee and giving the credit card information.
Once payment is received, the Accounting Department is responsible for manually entering it
into the township database system and making daily deposits to the bank.
The purpose of the professional memo is to identify a minimum of three current controls
(e.g., tools, practices, policies) in Odenton Township (either a control specific to Odenton
Township or a control provided by Anne Arundel county) that can be considered best
practices in safe payment/data protection. Furthermore, beyond what measures are
currently in place, you should highlight the need to focus on insider threats and provide a
minimum of three additional recommendations. Below are the findings from the Risk
Assessment:

The Prevalence of Pressure Ulcer Among The Elderly And Decreased Mobility Patients in The Hospitals And Healthcare Facilities.
Abstract
Hospital-acquired pressure ulcers remain to be amongst the continuous and persistent healthcare issues that are affecting the delivery of quality healthcare services. Pressure ulcers or pressure sores or bedsores refer to the injuries of the skin and the underlying tissues that are mainly caused by the prolonged pressure on the skin. According to the National Health Service, these conditions are common in individuals who are bedridden or are sitting on wheelchairs and chairs for an extended period. The disease occurs on the body parts that are commonly exposed to the pressure for example the spine, hips, elbows, and heels. The issue of pressure ulcers is a major public health concern since it consumes large sums of money to address the problem (Grey et al., 2016). On average, a client is being charged $ 37,800 for extreme cases of pressure ulcers.
This study aims to implement certain method to prevent pressure ulcers among the elderly above 60 years and decreased mobility patients in the hospital and healthcare facilities through the use of Braden scale, applying mepilex foam dressing to bony prominence areas, and repositioning. Patients especially elderly adults are experiencing lengthy hospital stays and this is exposing them to the high risk of pressure ulcers. According to Rondinelli et al (2018), several factors are linked to pressure ulcers. These multi-factorial factors involve hormonal changes, impairment of blood perfusion, inflammation, degenerative changes, and reduction in the effectiveness of immunity. The majority of elderly patients suffer from frailty and other chronic diseases that reduce their ability to engage in daily activities (ADLs) and even experiences limited movements. This increases their level of exposure to hospital-acquired pressure injury (HAPI). This is a health concern that requires the development of effective evidence-based interventions to help in the creation of awareness concerning therapy and preventive approaches such as the application of the Braden Scale to help in detecting the risks of adult patients. It is also important to design approaches that are helpful in the protection of the bony regions using pads and repositioning of the patients after every 2 hours (Lyder & Ayello, 2018).
Many healthcare facilities have attempted to design effective evidence-based interventions but the issue of healthcare-acquired pressure ulcers continued to persist. Despite the increased efforts to implement evidence-based procedures to guide the nurses in reducing the pressure ulcers issue within the acute care facilities, the number of reported cases of pressure ulcers continues to be a major issue (Grey et al., 2016). The majority of healthcare facilities are fa.

Project Topic Proposal
The proposed topic is cyber security. My proposal in this software development project of this class is to develop cyber security software to be a tool that protects systems against malicious attacks and online threats. The software should b able to detect and block threats that can not be detected by antivirus. The technology to be used will be defensive Artificial intelligence. Cybersecurity professional experts can utilize guarded man-made consciousness (simulated intelligence) to distinguish or stop cyberattacks. Sagacious cybercriminals use innovations like hostile computer-based intelligence and ill-disposed AI since they are harder for conventional network protection instruments to identify. Offensive AI incorporates profound fakes, bogus pictures, personas, and recordings that convincingly portray individuals or things that never occurred or don't exist. Noxious entertainers can utilize ill-disposed AI to fool machines into breaking down by giving them mistaken information. Cybersecurity professionals can utilize cautious computer-based intelligence to recognize and prevent hostile man-made intelligence from estimating, testing, and figuring out how the framework or organization's capabilities. Defensive AI can reinforce calculations, making them more challenging to break. Network protection analysts can direct more extreme weakness tests on AI models.
Artificial intelligence cautious apparatuses can precisely anticipate assault vectors, pinpoint the delicate region of the organization and frameworks, and even set it up groups for approaching occasions(Graham, Olson,& Howard, 2016). The progression of computerized data is developing a regular schedule making it progressively challenging to oversee and structure it or even to isolate what is significantly based on what is pointless. Confronted with this test, new encouraging advancement innovations are being created to bring 'information examination's to the following developmental level. Man-made consciousness (man-made intelligence), specifically, is supposed to become huge in many fields. A few types of computer-based inte.

You decide to
conduct formative research to evaluate this. Explain three specific examples of how you think formative
research could be applied to the development of a campaign to ensure relevance of the message to your
community.
3. Answer ALL parts of this question: You have been awarded a grant for a community’s anti-bullying
campaign, and you want to enlist the help of the local elementary school. The school has a very diverse
population of students, faculty, staff, and administrators, and it strongly supports equality and respect. In this
school, children are allowed to wear clothing and other symbols of their respect for their religions, such as hijab
(head covering) for Muslim girls, and necklaces with a cross or a Star of David. The school would like for you
to enlist the students at the school to assist with anti-bullying education in the rest of the community. What is
one way that you might you help the students tailor their messages without stigmatizing or stereotyping any
individuals at the school? Who will keep the project going after the funding has ended? Why would they be

Reflective Essay

Assessment:
• The IT department for Anne Arundel County requires strong passwords for users to
access and use information systems.

Principles of Scientific Management, Frederick Winslow Taylor .docxLacieKlineeb
Principles of Scientific Management, Frederick Winslow Taylor (1911)
Introduction
PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT, in his address to the Governors at the White House,
prophetically remarked that “The conservation of our national resources is only preliminary to
the larger question of national efficiency.”
The whole country at once recognized the importance of conserving our material
resources and a large movement has been started which will be effective in accomplishing this
object. As yet, however, we have but vaguely appreciated the importance of “the larger question
of increasing our national efficiency.”
We can see our forests vanishing, our water-powers going to waste, our soil being carried
by floods into the sea; and the end of our coal and our iron is in sight. But our larger wastes of
human effort, which go on every day through such of our acts as are blundering, ill-directed; or
inefficient, and which Mr. Roosevelt refers to as a lack of “national efficiency,” are less visible,
less tangible, and are but vaguely appreciated.
We can see and feel the waste of material things. Awkward, inefficient, or ill-directed
movements of men, however, leave nothing visible or tangible behind them. Their appreciation
calls for an act of memory, an effort of the imagination. And for this reason, even though our
daily loss from this source is greater than from our waste of material things, the one has stirred
us deeply, while the other has moved us but little.
As yet there has been no public agitation for “greater national efficiency,” no meetings
have been called to consider how this is to be brought about. And still there are signs that the
need for greater efficiency is widely felt.
The search for better, for more competent men, from the presidents of our great
companies down to our household servants, was never more vigorous than it is now. And more
than ever before is the demand for competent men in excess of the supply.
What we are all looking for, however, is the readymade, competent man; the man whom
some one else has trained. It is only when we fully realize that our duty, as well as our
opportunity, lies in systematically cooperating to train and to make this competent man, instead
of in hunting for a man whom some one else has trained, that we shall be on the road to national
efficiency.
In the past the prevailing idea has been well expressed in the saying that “Captains of
industry are born, not made”; and the theory has been that if one could get the right man,
methods could be safely left to him. In the future it will be appreciated that our leaders must be
trained right as well as born right, and that no great man can (with the old system of personal
management) hope to compete with a number of ordinary men who have been properly
organized so as efficiently to cooperate.
In the past the man has been first; in the future the system must be first. This in no sense,

Current and developing models of integrated behavioral health service delivery have
proven successful for the general population; however, these approaches may not
sufficiently address the unique needs of individuals living in rural and remote areas. For
all communities to benefit from the opportunities that the current trend toward inte-
gration has provided, it is imperative that cultural and contextual factors be considered
determining features in care delivery. Rural integrated primary care practice requires
specific training, expertise, and adjustments to service delivery and intervention to best
meet the needs of rural and underserved communities. In this commentary, the authors
present trends in integrated behavioral health service delivery in rural integrated
primary care settings. Flexible and creative strategies are proposed to promote in-
creased access to integrated behavioral health services, while simultaneously address-
ing patient care needs that arise as a result of the barriers to treatment that are prevalent
in rural communities.
Keywords: integrated behavioral health, integrated primary care, rural, rural health
The need for integrated health care is well
documented. Nearly 70% of primary care ap-
pointments include issues associated with psy-
chosocial factors (Gatchel & Oordt, 2003).
Many patients would prefer to receive behav-
ioral health services in their primary care pro-
vider’s office, as opposed to a specialty mental
health setting (Lang, 2005). Patients in primary
care offices are also more likely to follow
through with a behavioral health referral when
that service is provided in the same office (Slay
& McCleod, 1997). Overall, integrated behav-
ioral health services have been shown to suc-
cessfully enhance health care services and yield
improvements in medical and behavioral health
conditions (Kwan & Nease, 2013).
Integrated care models may be especially im-
pactful in areas where access to specialty care is
limited, such as rural communities. However, a
discussion of the adjustments warranted when
developing integrated behavioral health ser-
vices in rural practice settings is all but absent in
the literature. Significant treatment needs in ru-
ral areas, combined with poor availability of
referral-based services in rural communities, re-
quire effective integrated primary care (IPC) to
be provided in a flexible, patient-tailored, and
community-focused manner. In this paper, we
aim to outline the special considerations neces-
sary for conducting IPC in rural communities
wherein behavioral health providers (BHPs)
may struggle to balance in.

Primary Care Interventions for Prevention and Cessation of Tobacco Use
in Children and Adolescents
US Preventive Services Task Force Recommendation Statement
US Preventive Services Task Force
Summary of Recommendations
The USPSTF recommends that primary care clinicians provide interventions, including education or
brief counseling, to prevent initiation of tobacco use among school-aged children and adolescents. B
The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and
harms of primary care–feasible interventions for the cessation of tobacco use among school-aged
children and adolescents.
I
See the Figure for a more detailed summary of the recommendation for clinicians. See the Practice Considerations section for more information on effective
interventions to prevent initiation of tobacco use and for suggestions for practice regarding the I statement. USPSTF indicates US Preventive Services Task Force.
IMPORTANCE Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death in the US. An estimated
annual 480 000 deaths are attributable to tobacco use in adults, including from secondhand
smoke. It is estimated that every day about 1600 youth aged 12 to 17 years smoke their first
cigarette and that about 5.6 million adolescents alive today will die prematurely from a
smoking-related illness. Although conventional cigarette use has gradually declined among
children in the US since the late 1990s, tobacco use via electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) is
quickly rising and is now more common among youth than cigarette smoking. e-Cigarette
products usually contain nicotine, which is addictive, raising concerns about e-cigarette use
and nicotine addiction in children. Exposure to nicotine during adolescence can harm the
developing brain, which may affect brain function and cognition, attention, and mood; thus,
minimizing nicotine exposure from any tobacco product in youth is important.
OBJECTIVE To update its 2013 recommendation, the USPSTF commissioned a review of the
evidence on the benefits and harms of primary care interventions for tobacco use prevention
and cessation in children and adolescents. The current systematic review newly included
e-cigarettes as a tobacco product.
POPULATION This recommendation applies to school-aged children and adolescents younger
than 18 years.
EVIDENCE ASSESSMENT The USPSTF concludes with moderate certainty that primary
care–feasible behavioral interventions, including education or brief counseling, to prevent
tobacco use in school-aged children and adolescents have a moderate net benefit. The
USPSTF concludes that there is insufficient evidence to determine the balance of benefits
and harms of primary care interventions for tobacco cessation among school-aged children
and adolescents who already smoke, because of a lack of adequately powered studies on
behavioral counseling interventions and a lack of studies on medications.
RECOMMENDATION The USPSTF recommends that.

PRAISE FOR CRUCIAL CONVERSATIONS
"Relationships are the priority of life, and conversations are the
crucial element in profound caring of relationships. This book
helps us to think about what we really want to say. If you want
to succeed in both talking and listening, read this book."
-Dr. Lloyd J. Ogilvie, chaplain, United States Senate
"Important, lucid, and practical, Crucial Conversations is a
book that will make a difference in your life. Learn how to flour

"I was personally and professionally inspired by this book-and
I'm not easily impressed. In the fast-paced world of IT, the success
of our systems, and our business, depends on crucial conversations
we have every day. Unfortunately, because our environment is so
technical, far too often we forget about the 'human systems' that
make or break us. These skills are the missing foundation piece."
-Maureen Burke, manager of training,
Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc.

"Crucial Conversations is the most useful self-help book I have
ever read. I'm awed by how insightful, readable, well organized,
and focused it is. I keep thinking: 'If only I had been exposed to
these dialogue skills 30 years ago ... '"
-John Hatch, founder, FINCA International
"One of the greatest tragedies is seeing someone with incredible
talent get derailed because he or she lacks some basic skills.
Crucial Conversations addresses the number one reason execu

a fast-paced, results-oriented environment."
-Karie A. Willyerd, chief talent officer, Solectron
"The book prescribes, with structure and wit, a way to improve on
the most fundamental element of organizational learning and
growth-honest, unencumbered dialogue between individuals.
There are one or two of the many leadership/management

Prepare a 2-page interprofessional staff update on HIPAA and appro.docxLacieKlineeb
Prepare a 2-page interprofessional staff update on HIPAA and appropriate social media use in health care.
Introduction
As you begin to consider the assessment, it would be an excellent choice to complete the Breach of Protected Health Information (PHI) activity. The activity will support your success with the assessment by creating the opportunity for you to test your knowledge of potential privacy, security, and confidentiality violations of protected health information. The activity is not graded and counts towards course engagement.
Health professionals today are increasingly accountable for the use of protected health information (PHI). Various government and regulatory agencies promote and support privacy and security through a variety of activities. Examples include:
· Meaningful use of electronic health records (EHR).
· Provision of EHR incentive programs through Medicare and Medicaid.
· Enforcement of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules.
· Release of educational resources and tools to help providers and hospitals address privacy, security, and confidentiality risks in their practices.
Technological advances, such as the use of social media platforms and applications for patient progress tracking and communication, have provided more access to health information and improved communication between care providers and patients.
At the same time, advances such as these have resulted in more risk for protecting PHI. Nurses typically receive annual training on protecting patient information in their everyday practice. This training usually emphasizes privacy, security, and confidentiality best practices such as:
· Keeping passwords secure.
· Logging out of public computers.
· Sharing patient information only with those directly providing care or who have been granted permission to receive this information.
Today, one of the major risks associated with privacy and confidentiality of patient identity and data relates to social media. Many nurses and other health care providers place themselves at risk when they use social media or other electronic communication systems inappropriately. For example, a Texas nurse was recently terminated for posting patient vaccination information on Facebook. In another case, a New York nurse was terminated for posting an insensitive emergency department photo on her Instagram account.
Health care providers today must develop their skills in mitigating risks to their patients and themselves related to patient information. At the same time, they need to be able distinguish between effective and ineffective uses of social media in health care.
This assessment will require you to develop a staff update for the interprofessional team to encourage team members to protect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Peer response The purpose of dissemination strategies are to.docx
1. Peer response
The purpose of dissemination strategies are to spread knowledge
of evidence-based interventions so that it can become more
widespread in practice. To me, the most favorable dissemination
strategy that I would choose to use is social media. I am 27
years old and was born in an era of seeing how influential social
media can be. On average, 4.48 billion people are on social
media and check it regularly (Undiscovered Maine, n.d., para.
8). I have seen firsthand how when a friend or someone I know
starts doing a new trend their response is typically that they saw
it on Instagram, TikTok, etc. We could use social media and its
impact for good by spreading evidence-based practice findings
in healthcare to a large audience of variety.
The second dissemination strategy that I would be
inclined to use is press releases. Press releases are a great way
to communicated evidence-based findings to a large group of
people. Additionally, having a press release on topics enhances
reliability to most viewers if you are on a trusted and
professional news outlet. Going along with a benefit of social
media, in today’s climate, impactful press release videos will
generally now find themselves viral on social media, so even
people who do not watch the news will eventually view the
press conference.
Dissemination Strategies I Would Be Least Inclined to Use
The dissemination strategy that I would be the least inclined to
use is e-mail. While e-mails are a quick way to get information
across, they do not have as big as an impact as many other
strategies do. Most of the time, people generally just scroll
through e-mails and delete things that do not require immediate
action because their inboxes are probably filled with things that
do. Additionally, it is incredibly difficult to convey emotion
over e-mail, so some information and passion behind the
2. message being conveyed are susceptible to being lost in
translation. Lastly, e-mail is not as accessible to a larger group
of people because only people who receive the e-mail would be
able to see the information provided.
Another dissemination strategy that I would not be
inclined to use is the use of poster presentations. While poster
presentations may provide a bit of hard work and
personalization, they are not as effective as other strategies.
Poster presentations may come across as informal and may not
convey the urgency of the message being conveyed.
Additionally, the poster will just stay a poster that will probably
stay in one area or may even be thrown away. In this day and
age, if you want a large people to view something, it will need
to be digital so that it stays in a place forever and is able to be
spread to other people and saved to their personal devices for
reference and storage.
Barriers and
Solution
s to Desired Dissemination Strategies
One of the biggest risks to using social media to communicate
evidence-based findings is that there is a lack of privacy. A way
to overcome the barrier of having a lack of privacy with social
media is to make private pages and accounts that only target and
allow the audience involved (Narayanaswami et. al., 2015, para.
6).
There are also risks that come with holding press
3. conferences to communicate evidence-based findings. One
barrier to holding a press conference is the current political
climate and how things may be perceived by the general public
(NHR, n.d., para. 3). We were able to really see this barrier
evident during COVID 19. We were at a point where we we
were so divided in our country, that health officials were
struggling to get their points and advice about the pandemic
across because some people would not listen or believe what
they were saying simply because of who was saying it, what
news outlet was promoting it, and the content of what they were
saying. This barrier can be overcome by being mindful of and
knowing your audience, choosing your words carefully, and
ensuring you are using a reliable, non-biased news outlet to
convey your message (NHR, n.d, para. 4).
Peer 2
The two dissemination strategies I would be most inclined to
use are podium and poster presentations at my healthcare
organizations. The reason why I am inclined to use podium
dissemination strategy is because it gives the opportunity to
present evidence-based practice ( EBP ) cited EBP to my
4. organizational staffs, and it also gives the oppurtunity to answer
individual questions posed by the audience of staffs. To support
this idea, one study mentioned that when presentations are
delivered in a context of caring and suppotive organizational
culture, the highest quality of care and best patient outcome can
be achieved ( Gallagher, Fineout-Overholt, Melnyk & Stillwell,
2011). Also, the reason why I prefer poster presentation is
because a written poster presentation can be an educational tool
that staff can read, study, and re-read in the future to gain more
understanding of the cited EBP. To explain further, another
study mentioned that a number of resources are needed to be
establish to encourage the growth and development of a
program. These resources includes the availability of EBP
model in written and electronic format ( Newhouse, Dearholt,
Poe, Pugh & White, 2007).
In addition, the two dissemination strategies I will be least
inclined to use are organizational level presentation and
publication in peer-review journals. The reason why I am least
inclined to use organizational level presentation is because it is
difficult to get most executive staffs on board mostly in they are
not in agreement with the cited EBP study. Also, the reason why
I am least inclined to use publication in a peer-review journals
is because it takes longer time to do a peer-review journal, and
to circulate ther information around.
Moreover, the two barrier I might encounter when using my
5. selected dissemination strategy is lack of information retention
by some staffs, who might have attended the podium
presentation. For example, some of my organizational staffs
could attended the presentation about the cited EBP, and 30 -50
minutes after the presentation you asked them what was the
presentation about? They responded or answered they do not
know, or they have forgetten. Also, another barrier I might
encounter when using my selected dissemination strategy is
failure to read, or study the written poster information. For
example, after presenting the written poster containing the cited
EBP information, most of my staff members might not read the
poster, or they might throw them in to the trash can.
To overcome these barriers, I think a quaterly continous
education has to be provided to my staff members whether they
recieved their presentation through the podium, or through the
written poster. They have to get quaterly continous education to
help them recieved and retained presented cited EBP
information. To explained a little further, one study reveals that
the retention of key information is the reason why certain
clinicians have to keep up with new studies to expand their
konwledge and skills, which means continous education is not a
nice to have, but an absolute necessity for any healthcare staffs,
who wants to provide quality patient care ( Health
management.org, 2017).
6. Essay 1 Writing Guidelines and Information
Requirements
· The essay should be
at least 800 words in length.
· You must create an
original title.
· You must have
a strong, argumentative thesis statement that clearly
lays out what you will discuss in your paper.
· You should support your thesis with textual
analysis and evidence from the text (quotes).
· Include proper
MLA citations, and Works Cited page.
· Write in the formal
3rd person.
7. ___________________________
Use a 12-point font—no fancy fonts.
Be sure to double-space the entire paper.
Include your name, date, and course number in the upper left-
hand corner.
Topics:
Option 1: Answer the question of whether a character from one
of the stories is round or flat AND static or dynamic, giving
proof for each assertion. Also, what is his/her/their motivation
for action/behavior?
Option 2: What is the life lesson (also known as the theme) of
the story? Use details from the story to prove the theme.
Reminder: a theme must
be more than one word (containing a subject and verb).
You will
not receive credit if you say that the theme is “love” or
“family.” In the course of your analysis, you should choose
specific textual references, analyze their impact, and
demonstrate how those references contribute to the central
argument you are advancing about the text’s principal theme or
fundamental message.
8. Option 3: Analyze a specific literary element used in the story.
Fully explore how it is used and the author’s purpose. Explain
how literary element (Literary elements = Foreshadowing,
mood, setting, diction, symbolism, point of view, etc.) is used
to create/enhance the effectiveness of the author’s message.
Tips:
Make sure that your central argument is supportable and
debatable: pick something that will be interesting to prove. For
instance, do not argue that “The Storm” is a story about a
woman having an affair. Instead, you might claim that it should
be read as a critique of the institution of marriage; should be
read as a critique of patriarchal expectations for women; should
be read as a psychological examination of a character incapable
of resisting temptation, etc.
Use the text. Successful analysis of fiction or any literary work
depends on skillful evaluation of how the text creates meaning.
Your insight matters, but it should be insight derived from
analysis of textual evidence. Note: this is not a research paper. I
am much more interested in your personal analysis of a text and
original ideas.
Essential Question Examples:
3) 1) In Russell’s “St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by
Wolves,” How and why does the protagonist change over the
course of the story? How might those changes be reflected in
9. the way she shifts, as a narrator, between the first-person plural
and singular?
4) 2) In “A Rose for Emily,” do you find that Emily is a victim
of social values? (In an interview at the University of Virginia,
William Faulkner commented that he pitied Emily. What do you
make of his comment?
If you are having a hard time coming up with a question that
you’d like to answer, check out some of the writing suggestions
and questions in the textbook.
Also, make sure to read Chapter 3: The Literature Essay. This
chapter helps to explain the general conventions of an academic
essay.
Grading Expectations
A: The “A” essay thoroughly develops a significant and well-
considered central idea from a consistent point of view. The
organization of sentences and paragraph is effective, and
smooth transitions connect ideas. The presentation is unified,
clear, coherent, and concise and has varied sentence structure.
The paper demonstrates mastery of formal elements of essay
writing and meets all special stipulations of the assignment. The
“A” essay is outstanding in its synthesis of these characteristics.
10. B: The “B” essay has a sound and clearly stated main idea,
which is logically and adequately developed. The organization
is clear, and the writing is unified, coherent, and concise. The
paper exhibits few mechanical and grammatical errors and
meets all special stipulations of the assignment. Although
indicating above-average competence, the “B” essay lacks the
refinement in thought, style, and/or expression which
characterizes the “A” essay.
C: The “C” essay has a sound central idea stated clearly enough
to convey its purpose to the reader. The organization is also
clear, although often mechanical. Paragraphs are unified and
adequately developed. Sentences are clear, although sometimes
lacking in variety or emphasis. Major mechanical and
grammatical errors are not prevalent, and an attempt to meet
each special stipulation is evident. The “C” essay demonstrates
competence in composition.
D: The “D” essay is marginal in its presentation of clear or
thoughtful central idea, its organization of supporting ideas, or
its use of language in expressing these ideas. It may contain
serious mechanical or grammatical errors. Finally, it may be
marginal in meeting one or more special stipulations of the
assignment.
11. F: The “F” essay may fail to state and develop a main idea,
provide and organize sufficient supporting details, or use
language appropriately to express its ideas. It may contain
mechanical or grammatical errors, significantly diminishing the
essay’s quality. It may fail to meet specific stipulations of the
assignment.
