Activity 1
In completing a task of writing a book, four authors came together as a self-managed work team as there
was no official leader per se. Though each writer was a faculty member in a same academic department,
they use information technology communication (ICT) extensively to communicate with one another;
such as sending files of the chapters to publishers via emails and accessed to Internet in researching.
Work in a group and discuss the question below.
Does that qualify them to also be a virtual team? Why or not why not?
Activity 2
Questions:
1. How would you describe the roles played by executive team members Arnon, Kris and the
advisors from Launcworks?
2. Analyse the changes on the executive team using the model of group development.
