This document discusses ways for students to explain the influence of setting on plot development in stories: - Having students explain in journals, orally, with sticky notes, pictures, animations, role plays, or puppets. Developing a "driving question" can also help students explain the relationship between setting and plot. Resources on question formulation techniques and finding images with creative commons licenses are provided.
