PBS
PBS is a holistic assessment that is able to assess cognitive (intellectual), affective (emotional and spiritual) and psycho motor (physical) in line with the National
Education Philosophy and Curriculum Standard for Primary Schools (KSSR).
PBS is optimized to assess the academic and non-academic. PBS gives recognition and autonomy for teachers to implement formative assessment (assessment
carried out during the learning process) and summative (evaluation conducted at the end of the unit)
PBS component in the national assessment system include:
• Assessment of School
• Assessment Center
• Assessment of Physical Activity, Sport and Curriculum
• Psychometric Assessment
School Assessment are designed, built, managed, checked, recorded and reported by teachers in schools. Examples of assessment instruments that can be used
include worksheets, observations, quizzes, checklists, reporting assignments, homework and tests.
Assessment Center was administered, examined, recorded and reported at the school level by teachers based assignments and grading schemes issued by the
Examination Board within the time prescribed by the subjects.
WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE PBS?
The objective of the PBS is to:
• get an overview of the potential of individuals
• monitor and help increase potential growth of individuals
• make meaningful reporting on individual learning
In conclusion PBS will ensure that students through the education system to reach international standards in the field of knowledge, skills and competence.
WHAT IS CONSIDERED BY SUBJECT PBS?
All subjects taught in primary and secondary schools will be evaluated through the PBS.

PBS PBS is a holistic assessment that is able to assess cognitive (intellectual), affective (emotional and spiritual) and psycho motor (physical) in line with the National Education Philosophy and Curriculum Standard for Primary Schools (KSSR). PBS is optimized to assess the academic and non-academic. PBS gives recognition and autonomy for teachers to implement formative assessment (assessment carried out during the learning process) and summative (evaluation conducted at the end of the unit) PBS component in the national assessment system include: • Assessment of School • Assessment Center • Assessment of Physical Activity, Sport and Curriculum • Psychometric Assessment School Assessment are designed, built, managed, checked, recorded and reported by teachers in schools. Examples of assessment instruments that can be used include worksheets, observations, quizzes, checklists, reporting assignments, homework and tests. Assessment Center was administered, examined, recorded and reported at the school level by teachers based assignments and grading schemes issued by the Examination Board within the time prescribed by the subjects. WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE PBS? The objective of the PBS is to: • get an overview of the potential of individuals • monitor and help increase potential growth of individuals • make meaningful reporting on individual learning In conclusion PBS will ensure that students through the education system to reach international standards in the field of knowledge, skills and competence. WHAT IS CONSIDERED BY SUBJECT PBS? All subjects taught in primary and secondary schools will be evaluated through the PBS.
