This document discusses using project-based learning (PBL) and computational thinking (CT) to address issues in computing education. It provides background on computing programs and jobs. The problem is teachers lack expertise to guide students' computing projects. The recommendation is to use PBL-CT, which involves starting with an inquiry question, collaborative work to create real results, and guidance from educators including scaffolding. CT develops problem-solving skills through techniques like inquiry, scaffolding, and visual tools. Examples of PBL-CT initiatives in Malaysia include Modul Projek SPM secondary and university courses, and the MTR2043 course.
