DOB facility operation projects ($1M per month.) He was involved in the management of new Bus Depot facilities
($110M.) Other projects included:construction of new parkinglots,buildinginfrastructure repairs, replacement of
boilers, HVAC units, exhaust systems, replacement of diesel and oil tanks, and the replacement of equipment and
plants. Mr. Patel was responsible for the coordination and presentation to various NYC Bureaus, Bus Depots, and
the Contract DivisionsOffice. He performed the review and coordination of multi discipline construction plans for
structural, architectural buildings, mechanical and electrical installations, etc.; and was responsible for the
reviewing the contractor's claims and additional work order issues and proposals. He monitored project funding
and spending to obtain bus depot management's approval and instituted funding charges to the correct deviation
if required. Other tasks included: reviewing bid analysis and contract awards; reviewing contractors’ schedules
with the contractors’ schedules with the contract division to identify opportunities for acceleration; overseeing
final inspection of the project with clientbus depot, consultantand contractor; preparing engineering drawing and
specifications; and developing the scope of the projects to meet requirements, identify the feasibility of capital
projects. November 2000- October 2014.
Chief Engineer, Construction Department. NYCHA Mr. Patel assisted in the administration of contracts per
specifications.Hereviewed shop drawings and construction methods i/c inspection of construction for more than
500 buildings. Determined the necessity and extent of community outreach efforts and scheduled for presentation

as appropriate in Community board meetings. Monitored and directed construction safety program and quality
control for the buildings 6-15-21 and 33 stories and above. He also reviewed the qualification statement of the
contractors,workmanship of the previous contracts,and assisted in directingthe awardingprocess of the contract.
Other tasks included: auditing and estimating cost of work performed by contractors; reviewing consultant's
reports for Structural and water intrusion repair at Williamsburg Houses; expediting projects by researching
alternate solution for continued operations duringrepairs and/or use;and directingconstruction inspector,project

Squad Leader, Civil Engineering, Design Section II. Developed route of City Water Tunnel No.3, Stage 2. Generated
the conceptual design and prepared detail design calculations and drawings for steel and reinforced concrete
structure for the water tunnel #3. Mr. Patel reviewed application of SPEDES permit for wastewater treatment
plant. He prepared specifications and cost estimation; conducted inspections of environmental conditions in
connection with design of wastewater treatment facilities; and supervised engineers, technicians, and draftsman.

Paramus, New Jersey. Senior Engineer. Prepared construction schedule by CPM and coordinated with other
disciplines and agencies. Prepared technical reports, engineering evaluations, and recommendations for
