Preface
Ian Russell, founder of Ian Russell Designs, began his passion for etched
and carved glass in 1976. His glass work ranges from custom etched glass
murals and partition screens to glass furniture for exclusive hotels and
restaurants in the United States and South East Asia. A partial list of clientele
includes New Orleans Saints Headquarters at the Superdome, Caesar’s
Palace, Tropicana Hotel, Flamingo Hotel, and ten flagship Hyatt Regency
hotels worldwide. Additionally, work has been completed for large corporate
clients such as Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of Denver, and Home Savings and
Loan.
Luxury hotel projects include Mansion on Turtle Creek (Dallas, Texas),
Windows on the World (World Trade Center), Rosewood Hotels, Regency
Hotel Hong Kong, Chicago Water Tower, and Hyatt Kannapali Resort,
Maui, Hawaii. Ian has continued to design and oversee a multitude of
projects which most recently have included the C-More Hale Laboratory
at the University of Hawaii, The Aulani Disney Resort in Oahu, and Wynn
Development’s new hotel in Macao, China, opening in 2014.
