This photo journal documents Stephanie Stegemann's geology field trip from November 9-11, 2012 in California. Over the three days, Stegemann photographed and described various geological formations including Mormon Rocks formed at the San Andreas Fault, cinder cones at Cinder Hill, lava flows, fossilized stream beds, Native American petroglyphs and structures at Fossil Falls, and landscapes showing tectonic features like the Inyo-White Mountains and Diaz Lake formed by the Lone Pine Fault. The journal provides visual examples and short explanations of the area's geological history and features.
