Yosemite Valley is located in the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Over 30 million years, a glacier carved out the distinctive U-shaped valley through erosion and weathering, breaking down and carrying away rocks slowly over time. To model how the valley was formed, clay could represent the land and an ice block sliding through it over many years could illustrate the gradual process by which the glacier carved out Yosemite Valley.

If I had to create a model I would
use clay to represent the valley, also I
would use a ice block to represent the
glacier and let it slowly go through
the clay.
